1:34 Funny about those breathing holes that I have observed over the past 2 years. In the original sentai helmets for Zyuranger, the breathing holes actually came through the visor from the corners of the visors. It didn't go all around the visors in order to keep the asthetic look of the helmet. Meanwhile on Power Rangers, on the episode where the Red,Yellow, and Black Ranger powers were being transfered, if you paused the video as the new rangers look up in The Power Transfer part one and two, you can see that they have more breathing holes in the helmet above the mouths. Now, this would not be a problem if more makers were to add more holes in that part of the helmet, but I also perform some experimentation when I first created the helmets the first time. If the holes were 5 millimeters in diameter and there were a total of 6 of them, you can actually extend the wear time to at least 20 minutes instead of 5 as most people has told me when they bought helmets made by Aniki. 3:04 So that's how it's done. Fascinating!I will have to keep this in mind for the future. So this maker also uses neodynium magnets. 4:45 So it is a bit on the tight side of things. Perhaps the chin could be lowered to an 1/8th of a inch max to allow yourself to talk.

Awesome review! If I can get a “cosplay creator” to transplant the strap from the “lightening collection” helmet and probably make the “creator helmet” slightly larger...I think that’ll work! However, if I had to choose one, definitely the cosplay helmet...the details are pretty impeccable
i love the hasbro helmets i have both white ranger and red. i already have my white ranger suit for the con circuit when the world opens. come on hasbro give us green next!!!
Legacy already did the green. The next one is going to be pink as of July 2021. I’m hoping they do all the other colors first, then circle back to green afterwards. 😃
I got the white ranger one partially to have it and partially for cosplay possibility and for me as someone with a bigger head it fits great and buying one online that might not get the size right.
I noticed the cosplay one is misaligned in the center when looking at the visor. Probably just an error and not indicative of each one. The price of a cosplay helmet is what takes it out of contention for me. The lightning helmet being only $80 is a nice buy. However with cosplay you can at least get whichever helmet you want and not just be stuck with only 3 variants. Nice video
those lightning collection helmets look so damn good in person, saw mmpr pink on display at gamestop one time. Excited for them to inevitably come out with mmpr black but yeah def gotta commission for the other seasons :/ just ordered a turbo blue helmet from aniki!
Both look cool. I get how the cosplay being better but honestly I’d be very upset if I couldn’t wear it. I have a huge head so I’d go with lightning and maybe get the one cosplay just for display.

I love the look and size of the cosplay helmet. Too bad gorleston_ranger is not taking on new commissions. Plus, I bet the cost is 10x more than the Lightning Collection helmet, especially since he is in the UK.
As someone with a much larger head than most people, the Legacy helmet fits me perfectly. Cosplay helmet is probably going to be geared towards younger teens and adults with smaller heads (since the stunt doubles are Asian.. you get me?) and the Collection helmet probably for the same thing, albeit with more wiggle room for sizing. As for me, I've always wanted Power Rangers to adapt into some really personal shots where you can actually see the titular actor's eyes/face inside the helmet in a shot. I think it would add more individuality and personal connection to the ranger, similar to the theme of broken Red Ranger visors that's on TH-cam.
I believe it depends on your budget and also some helmets can be well crafted from mold cast to the final result and even look as show accurate as possible but if your head doesn't fit then don't wear it! You be better use a Legacy helmet from Bandai America or a LC Helmet from Hasbro, while they don't look that good they're designed for safety purposes. If you have someone close to you that has had experience in making props or years suiting up in cosplay ask if you can borrow their helmets from them, fan-made helmets are truly impressive and the design is almost close as the ones made by Rainbow (the official factory that makes helmets for both Toei and Hasbro) so people trained for stunt action can wear them.
I found the teeth on the lightning helmet looked very “cartoony” I liked the silver painting they used on the legacy one instead. But overall, yes the lighting are a lot better then the legacy size wise and such. I just wish they used the silver paint they used on the legacy on the teeth for the lightning one
FYI 😁 American TV show didn't introduce the clips in the helmets. Japanese helmets had them as well. Mostly the helmets used in the stunts had them. The hero helmets used for close ups or photo shoots didn't hace the clips. 👍
If I wasn't fat well chubby lol n still skinny back in high school which was 04 to 07 I was skinny and muscular but definitely cosplay me being fat the suit I would wear any of the armor rangers like korrag nope I won't if I was a teen hell yeah specially the dragonranger
I have the Legacy Helmet. I can get away with the size as I'm quite tall; and I do like being able to comfortably wear it without taking my glasses off. Hoping they do a green helmet as the Legacy green was huge
That’s true. The magnets are worn in acting and more static scenes and the clips are worn by the stunts in action scenes where there is a lot of movement. For safety I suppose.
I got the Lightning Pink, and that the thing is somewhat small, and the color matching... Like the torsos of the pink ranger torsos, Hasbro has such a hard time with color matching to the onscreen pink costumes (and, can they come out with a Kimberly whose MMPR costume actually looks like spandex, and contrasting from the almost bubblegum pink helmet). To make the helmet wearable, I had to use a screwdriver, and remove that sizing strap from the inside. I also used a white balaclava to pin back my ears and cover my throat and jaw (with white turtleneck, and could probably use a thick dickie to simulate those stunt collars used in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger). Even with a pink ranger costume that I got last October, is it screen accurate? No, (and, it might be the campiness, but I love the almost sports car gloss paint on the helmets paired with spandex, and I'm not sure what was used as a material for the chest diamonds, gloves, and boots). But it looks and feels very cool, and far better than anything you could find in general retail back when MMPR first aired.
im very conflicted on whether or not i should buy a red ranger helmet dont get me wrong jason was the first and one of the best red rangers but 100 is a lot for it so for those who have bought one pls let me know on how you feel after months of it being in your home

God, the lightning collection helmets are already a tight fit for me; if the cosplay one is smaller I don't think I would even be able to wear it.

Yeah pretty much. If this helmet was bigger, the magnets wouldn't be a problem. I know Gorleston and Wildranger5 are now offering larger helmets.

Yes definitely... The visor is a bit see-through... but it can be easily fixed with some window tint
