Cal, I just landed a 12 pound chinook (about, he was 26-28 inches) while fishing for trout on the yakima river. Pounded a black rooster tail, fish on baby!!

All that I can say , is THANK YOU for sharing your vast wealth of knowledge ! A newbie such as myself , can employ your tactics and techniques , and have success ! My very first outing , after purchasing the basic tackle , ie; line counter reel , slide weights , and a couple different style dodgers , I managed to land 4 rainbow ! A great confidence builder , for sure ! Soft plastics got me there . Now it's time to , with your help , to expand my arsenal . Thank you once again .

Cal is spot on this soft plastic technique. It’s my second choice right after flies but before I pull out the hardware. Thanks

    Great info as always.
Love the crack about "50 million retired guys" and their "old school chain stringers" LOL.

you've touched on it somewhat, but could you cover some of the different kinds of hooks (circle, octopus, etc)?...it seems like there are so many, and they're specialized for certain things... it gets confusing... if you can do this, i'd really appreciate it... thanks...

Are your baits/lures/tactics just as useful up in BC canada on our lakes? Very interested in trying some of your baits and spoons
