If the prisoner was American then yeah probably, but if he was Irish or Scottish then I'd put my money on a Celtic war song like The Foggy Dew or something like that. th-cam.com/video/8fXByJweHp0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ym1UqiWA1AYiUY5T
Oh we do. We just lack a common enemy. Give us that and you'll see humanity instantly unite and chuck everything to the wind but war. And we will all be like that.
Nice to see a HFY story, where humans doesn't count great, because our aggressiveness or just being oh-so-smart, that we not just reverse engineering in a single month something, what the aliens - with all their advanced knowledge and experience - could only do after thousands of years of experiments, but even improve it... I like those stories better, where they give us the reason, how was possible to do all of those fenomenal results, instead of just "because they are humans". Those usually missing a great chunk of lore. This one has a short introduction, as a story told by a former prisoner, doesn't state any absurd achievment, and explains, how the human did, what he did. A whole story, and it doesn't make me feel, that there should be a previous part somewhere, what i should see before i see this video to understand the story.
@@pspicer777 Yes it is correct, the singular form of they is an literary device used when the author doesn't specify the gender of the character and has been in use since 1375, first known usage in a poem titled "William and the Werewolf"
There is nothing degenerate about this. The human was not specified as male or female so "they" is correctly used, and no this is not some woke bs but the real actual use of the word
The ultimate weapon in a Human arsenal, SPITE.
Exactly!
Oh, definitely.
Yep, which transforms into revenge and vengeance whenever the need arises.
I have a suspicion that this song began "I was born on a Dublin street, where the lyle drums do beat..."
To irritate someone just by singing I can think of 3 groups Irish, Scottish or American 😂
Hey I resemble that remark lm all three 😂😂😂
now THIS is a short story done right!!!
The spiteful grin on the human's face when they worked that one out...
Man we all know that exact grin. Partially joy and part manic crazy.
I bet that tune is Never gonna give you up
I have a hammer. 😊

Heh, psychological warfare - "Baby shark doo doo d-doo-dodoo"
Great story! Never underestimate the power of a song.
Hope never dies, it is a fenix
Good story
Wow. Amazing and well told story 💙
i am new here love all of it
If only humans today shown even 10% of that kind of stubbornness the world wouldn't be on fire.
They have just as much spite. Problem is the ones setting fire have the same
To the contrary, it is the stubbornness of the "elite" that has set the world on fire.

You're kidding right?

Love you kriloek
how many humans is the alien talking about?
For Christ's sake, don't use the plural "them" for singular pronouns. Seriously, don't do that.
Would you prefer "it" 😂
@@sandrosliske Yup.
Why not, it is grammatical correct, also NN is simply reading the words someone else wrote.
@leothenomad5675 No, it is not. "Them" is a third person pronoun used to refer to a group of people, animals, or things. Plural, not singular.

Everytime I hear they in place of he or she reminds me how degenerate western language has become.
Oh, do shut up 🤦🏾
