Oi, Im fairly new to Starfinder, and found this video from Reddit. I havent checked ur entire channel, but could you do a series on all the races, their pros and cons, and the classes, subclasses, and how they can pair with races? If you have already done this, you can just ignore me. But if not, i would like to see it.😁
We covered the Vesk and the Veskarium and we're working on the Kasatha now. We covered all the classes in our Class At A Glance playlist, it's a little dated, but I hope you still like it. Links below: Vesk th-cam.com/video/W13jGjImND0/w-d-xo.html Classes th-cam.com/video/nXbXYX47Qj4/w-d-xo.html
With the Tech revolution being out why not go full send and have them pilot a mech in power armor lol. But ive been wanting to make a NPC in my game who is in power armor but is something like a goblin or a Hobbit or Gnome. The only problem is the power drain on the armor lol
So I haven't gotten into starfinder yet so excuse my possibly dumb question?. But are there other space stations than absalom station. And are there corporate organizations?
It's mostly other planets, the only other "space stations" are the Idari and maybe the Desporia depending on how you use it. There are 10 other planets plus The Sun which could be used as other settings. Until more info on The Veskarium and the Azlanti Star Empire, it's just Golarion space.
Yeah that seams ok for being level 5 but after that regular armor is gonna be way better. Like you could probably just carry extra batteries. I talked about it in the Coms unit video, but since each of them have a battery (the book doesn't say that it has a battery but it has to run on something and has a capacity and usage) you could just steal the battery's from fallen enemy com units. And just switch them out
The nice thing about powered armor is that you can also upgrade it as you go. So you can add 1 to its item level which adds +1 to its EAC and KAC values and if/when it's new item level is divisible by 5 the values instead go up by +2. When that happens you also get +1 to the DEX mod, +2 to the STR bonus while wearing the armor, and one additional armor upgrade slot. It just costs %150 of the armors current cost and probably isn't worthwhile to do after the first 5 levels. Also 20 cap batteries are pretty cheap and could be salvaged easily enough in a pinch.
That is very true, but just like those batteries I also am very cheap, so I am 120% about scavenging a reusable battery whenever i can. Sadly none of my players have really looked at power armor
Great question! Sadly you cant just strap on the jetpack that you would be able to add onto heavy or light armor. However it looks like there are some suits of powered armor that can fly like the Explorer's cradle, or the Flight frame. However as a DM I would allow the regular ol jetpack to be able to lift powered armor up in lower gravity, or if you did some really good engineering checks I might allow it to be added onto power armor but it would move half the speed and consume twice the fuel.
7:46 may not be useful to high strength users, but more so for Dex based characters. "good" is subjective and they understand it's not going to fit everyone but will for some in some situations. Video seems to be about highlighting that.
@@lupuslunari yeah sometimes you have to think outside the gun lol... But saving the battery packs from enemy laser weapons could probably come in handy

@@20SidedKnight Thanks! Will check it out.
Had me rolling at "That's how master chief died." I had to pause the video.
Do you think 343 is going to have the guts to show that part in Halo Infinite?
your guys' examples actually did help to conceptualize things, thanks for the breakdown =)
DUDE a gnome in power armor the size of a space marine would basically be a gundam for them hahaha
Thanks we try our best. Its a different feel then regular armor to be sure

I see that CMC-300 power armor stretched out in the background.
A true Terran marine needs a big, impressive weapon. But that's not all...
All I know is I have a space Goblin mechanic and it's amazing
Drone or Exocortex?
exocortex and the DM allowed me to put it into my power armor so I'm kind of like Ruckus for Paladin's of the realm
Congrats to the winners
You guys work well together
Hey thank you that means a lot to us.

@@20SidedKnight ok cool. Thank you i wasn't sure
Bombard soldier with lower (13) Str, but high Dex (18). Looking forward to level 5 and powered armor training. :3

Thanks for the suggestion. It was a really good idea.
can you attach a jetpack to power armor?

@@20SidedKnight so you MIGHT be like thr mobile infantry in Starship Troopers
@@DareToWonder Yeah you could go for that, you just have to have the right armor
@@20SidedKnight whats the right armor?
Either the Explorer's cradle, or the Flight frame

Just get a basic battle harness and wear it all day. As long as you can plug it in before bed you're okay. 😆
But what if you don't get to go home that night? lol but the whole "Ive got to get back to the ship before my power armor dies" could be a plot hook
Carry additional batteries. Salvage your laser sidearm if you have to. XD
