All of that snow melt in the Sierra’s is going straight into the ocean! Ca doesn’t have enough reservoir’s to capture all of that water. Most if not all of the reservoirs are over capacity.

There is no mention of overuse by growing agricultural products in a desert or the continual population growth in a desert (the LA area is a desert, in addition to Phoenix and Las Vegas) with no plans of slowing down. Nope, we'd rather blame it all on climate change.

Residents of California have no need for Colorado River water. It is agricultural that uses it. Approximately 80% of all the water in California is used by agriculture, 10% by residents, and 10% commercial. Residents can afford any water source it is agricultural with their wasteful use that needs free or dirt cheap water.

Between all these states they couldn’t build desalination stations? They knew there were problems a decade or two ago.

Six to eight million people coming across the border does not help. More people, more water usage. It is not rocket science.

I’d recommend that the TENS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE that moved to the desert in recent decades consider relocating BACK to the east side of the Great Plains & north of about I-20. Much less nobody else move to said desert unless they know what they’re getting into.

Las Vegas is the most water-efficient city in the WORLD. Cali and AZ need to step up. Also, this has NOTHING to do with climate change. The fact is that when they originally divided up the water allotments way back when, the colorado river was at an unusually high peak of flow. It was never sustainable.

To little to late as the demands grow faster as millions of people moving north from the south , and excessive delays in doing nothing . This will only allow a political show . The use of sea water osmosis process for farmers with a container size commercial water system is only about 30 million and can be portable for disaster support. As well as natural gas electrical generating commercial system about the same cost . That would allow drinking water and electricity all commercial and mobile that pays for itself with savings that grow in time as well . Yet the already to go systems have turned Saudi Arabia into a very green and food production from even the most hostile environment . Yet Americans are to behind the eight ball and have allowed control to the few on basic life needs to a few who can demand excessive costs and drive costs up to allow corporate greed to dictate the stock holders rise in profits . And not be affected by the demands placed upon the public . In first small then medium then as population growth is maxed by even greater numbers as more disasters across Latin American do to natural resources plundering forced upon poverty level work force restrictions while never investing in any major manufacturing only sending that to distant nations that prosper then control costs and restrict the products for higher rewards . That Latin American would be much easier and transportation costs and green environment enhancements that also allow less poverty and better environmental practices with social unity that denies the cartel practices of control that if not checked will grow so strongly that it will take a army decades to control at a further disaster if not acted upon now will bring conflicts on scales that will demand a full size army among the boarder that will turn into a Ukraine type conflict within 35 years .

The water will evaporate 15% faster than 2 years before, so the drought will come sooner, than before. Earth has not set itself in the pattern most would see it coming to yet. The temperatures will remain high, even as it tries to cool itself off. Just clear the muck in the air, so it can be beautiful again.
