@@trishf2184Hi Trish. I am happy to share. I have been meditating for the last two years now. It really saved my life. I had hit rock bottom and meditation helped me to find some relief but it did not return me to joy. It did help me to put space between my consciousness and my mind. Recently, I noticed that all my conversations seemed to be an attempt to connect with people through a shared dislike of whatever. The phrase I was using was, " You know what sucks?". I said to myself that I would no longer say that. I replaced that phrase with," You know what I love?". I then layed there and listed the things I loved at that moment. The softness of the pillow, the warmth of the blanket, the cool air from the window. I saw that I could go on like that forever and I have started using it all day. Now I understand what Michael means that we decide what we like and don't like. It really is up to us. Our minds are so powerful. Meditation and the mind together was the path I found to deep joy and freedom. The other day I found myself reaching levels of blissful joy just driving to work. I was thinking how I love the feeling of my steering wheel in my hand. I love the smooth ride. I love that I can drive. I love that I have a job to provide for my family. I through my hands in the air in celebration that I get to be happy. Mind you that just 2 years ago I want to be erased from life because I no longer ever felt joy. Please know, that you can reach this amazing level of happiness if you continue. It will hit you one day and you will see how far you have come. I listen to Michael every morning, meditate at least 30 minutes a day and practice what I love. Your mind is a great tool and it is all available to you too. I wish you eternal joy and love.
