She should be the strongest person in the village, she’s trained under the 5th and the 6th hokage. (So she fits the traditional hokage nepotism requirement lmao) And it could have been like when Jiraiya turned the role down and recommended Tsunade. Naruto being like Jiraiya and Sakura being like Tsunade obviously. Plus it could have brought an old/new character into the story. Shikamaru still would have been the advisor so we wouldn’t have lost him or anything. Idk i just think it’s so boring to pick him. Imagine the start of the new chapter but it’s Sarada arguing with her own mother who doesn’t believe her. That’s a waaaaaay more interesting dynamic. But no, boring ass Shikamaru. 😒
