Doctor Tarek what is the answer please
Binasal hemianopia occurs from pressure on :
a) each optic nerve from the nasal aspect
b) each occipital cortex from the lateral aspect
c) both lateral angles of the optic chiasma
d) both optic tracts from the lateral aspects

Binasal hemianopia can conceivably be caused by bilateral atherosclerosis or aneurysms of the internal carotid arteries simultaneously compressing the adjacent non‐crossing fibers of both optic nerves or both lateral angles of the optic chiasma. (C is correct).

The optic nerve head contains a central cup (space). The tissue between the cup and the disc margin is called the neural rim or neuroretinal rim.The nerve fibers forming the optic nerve exit the eye posteriorly through a hole in the sclera that is occupied by a mesh-like structure called the lamina cribrosa.
