  • Book 10 of Dr. Shabir Ally's Ramadan 2021 series, 30 Life-Changing Books:
    Fiqh Us-Sunnah by As-Sayyid Sabiq
This set of 5 volumes published by American Trust Publications is relevant to every Muslim. It exposes us to Sunni schools of law on all the details of worship. Dr. Shabir Ally says that we develop greater tolerance for the diversity within Islamic practice when we realize that the source material gives rise to different views. Great scholars who were sincerely trying to follow the Quran and life example of the Prophet Muhammad came to different conclusions on minor points, though the core of Islam is common to us all.

I have been reading this book since the year 2003.
This is simply the most important book a practising Muslim must possess.
For every topic it mentions what Quran says (if Quran has verses covering that topic) , then what Hadit says (If Hadit on that topic available ) then what the four schools of Fiqh say !!
In most cases the author avoids giving personal views and leaves on the reader to decide !!
I loved this particular aspect as many textbooks in medical science (my profession) also follow this kind of “evidence based” approach and don’t give dogmatic personal views.
The original author Syed Sabiq (PBUH) was the person who abolished four different timings and types of prayers in the Holy mosques of Makkah and Madinah and unified one single time for prayers in the two Holy Mosques.
This was his huge achievement in addition to writing this wonderful book. As far as I remember, King Abdul Aziz had requested him to do this task of unifying the four Fiqah , unifying one single time of prayers in Holy mosques of Makkah and Madinah and writing of this book amazing book. Genius work.
One important thing to note : There are many books with similar name in Urdu but from different authors. They are not the same. Beware.
As far as I am aware this Syed Sabiq’s Fiqah-us-Sunnah has not been translated in Urdu.
So watch out for that. !
    It is Available on Amazon.
Also available as free pdf on Google.

It is to raise tolerance among us the awwam, not to make us confused with different opinions, I like the statement ❤️.
I agree with the dislike part that there should be caveat in the introduction, maybe like Ibn Rushd did in his Bidayatul Mujtahid, though in my country, Indonesia, many people already know what to expect when approaching this kitab. Thank you, Dr. Shabir 🙏

People say ST0P talking about SHIRK with me because i believe in ALLAH, but ALLAH makes it clear most of the people believe in me whilst associating (others as partners) with me ( Quran 12 : 1O6 )

Prophet Muhammad PBUH said about remembering Allah:
Do not talk too much without remembrance of Allah. Indeed excessive talking without remembrance of Allah hardens the heart. And indeed the furthest of people from Allah is the harsh-hearted. (At-Tirmidhi)
