At about 2:38 or so you listen to a bird. That is a Mileormore bird. They stick their beaks into the sides of trees and whistle out their bottoms. You can hear it a mile or more.
The orthopteran family Rhaphidophoridae of the suborder Ensifera has a worldwide distribution. Common names for these insects include cave crickets, camel crickets, spider crickets, and sand treaders.
The last Cedar, thought for sure face cut to small, she's gonna go part way over and break off down the hill, you are amazing, you do things like magic😂one savy cutter Bjarne, love watching you cut,my favorite youtube channel ❤
Great movie 🎥 Bjarne!! A little bit of everything today. Big Reds did exactly as they were told lol And that pusher worked out perfect as well, and wasn’t raining along with a little breeze to keep the bugs away. All around thumbs up day 👍👍
Hi Geoff from Australia here love your videos never miss one. tell me why do you call some branches "School Moms?. Keep up the great content just love every video. Stay safe out there.
I've seen a couple times guys put wedges in their notch when they start cutting. Is this due to the bark/cambium pinching or is because your unsure if the trees weight will shift and pinch?
@@johac7637 putting a wedge in the directional cut on the notch is strange to me. I've used wedges on notches before to knock out a stuck wood but never in the first (top cut) (directional cut). Obviously we use them on the back cut all the time.
I've never heard of anyone doing it when you start a face cut. If you put one on the bottom you can hit it break the wood in the back of the face and the "face" will slide out easier. In the top of the face it's just breaking the back wood. Sometimes the face is big enough they come down vertically half way through the face, place wedge and break it in two.
@@VeteranTreeService it's just something we do, windy days, so it doesn't sit back and pinch, also to have it started if it sits back, lots of different reasons. What's interesting we had aluminum wedges we'd grind thinner for the leverage , we never ground our plastics. I started falling at about 14 with my dad, don't recall the red saws brand, had McCoullauh (spelling ?) a couple with wheel barrow handles, turned the bar, handle on bar tip. And his favorite was a Canadian. My saw I broke in on was a Stihl 090, heavy brute, laid the wood down. Then the 066, 062, 048, depended on wood size. The Heli logging was fun, tough slopes though Now I just watch a bit, brings back memories, my last 090 is still a wall hanger, almost new. Belts, wedges, bug screens, a few dented hats from frustration also, all on a wall, not sure if daughters would care, they didn't like me going to Camp , now most of these guys are self employed, or small contractors, F&G days long gone.

A glorious smash-down at the start. Well done, and great filming and cutting all the way!
Coolest line of work ever
It sucks and when you get home you will spend the rest of your night removing sap from yourself. It's not a line of work it's a lifestyle.

Hey Bjarne! I need advice! I have a ported OE Husky 372xp, and I got offered a 500i in a trade. Would you do it, or keep the Husky? Cheers!
