Much respect for Angie Martinez. She was young in the game and releasing the interview probably would've shot her to the top early in her career but being an honorable woman of integrity and her genuine love for hip-hop and people got her to the top anyway.

Angie didn't put that interview out because everybody 2Pac named was connected to her in some way, whether business relationships, or personal friendships, or third party members thereof.
Puffy and all of them would've blamed her for allowing 2Pac to use her platform to talk trash. That interview wouldn't have helped her career as a hip hop journalist, because all the major players in the NYC music industry would've had her blackballed.
But yeah, putting that interview out would've also further fanned the flames of the east coast/west coast beef, most definitely.
Puffy even had his goons stealing the turntables of any DJ who played Hitt'em Up in his presence. So yeah, he would've had Angie fired.

Angie even told Pac right before he ran into Nas at Bryant Park at the VMA after party where they squashed their beef, that she wasn't able to play the whole interview and she said Pac told her not to worry about it. She said he told her that he just appreciated her coming out to Cali to interview him. Angie has 3 hours of unreleased audio from that interview. You've never heard that interview because it's never been released in its entirety.

Isn't a popular national urban magazine the media? I think it wasn't Angie Martinez's idea to not release it. It would've made her blow up even more than she was if she was attached to it... So why wouldn't she have put it out?
I believe someone else above her made a decision to not let that interview public. It's also been rumored someone powerful threatened her bosses to not let it out too.
Her life would have been in danger as well. pac was naming names about who did what behind that Quad City studio incident as well as the R case.
According to Big Gene, Puff got word of the interview and he played a part of not having that interview aired.
Angie didn't put that interview out cause Pac talked about all the big name music execs that were there when he got shot in Quad. Pac broke it down for her the same way he broke it down for Wendy Day that there was a cabal against him in the music industry. If any of you know what a cabal is you should understand this topic is esoteric and most people won't grasp the magnitude. They tried to sacrifice Pac that night and he survived. That's why Stretch was killed exactly one year later. These people play with numbers, dates and times.

@@aaroncox8457 That happens. I personally know people that were killed in the military that their family were told at first they were wounded but it isn't life threatening. Days later they get a visit and a flag. So it's not uncommon for people to take a turn for the worst.
But to answer your question, yes I believe Pac was induced into coma and after the loss of fingers and organs, Afeni decided to let him go. She knew her son and what living like that would do to his pride and spirit.
