I usually do not like crossbreeding. But accidently crossed a selle francais to a gypsy vanner. Foal of course is a selle francais but top three skills are that of a gyspy vanner. So now I am curious on crossing different breeds to each other to see what top skills turn out to be.
Crossbreeding allows for more freedom to tweak the skills how you want them, and I always find it interesting to see how they do in breed only comps. I like Selle x Vanner crossed because you get that nice speed of the Selle combined with the high stamina of the Vanner.
that's interesting that originals go for a lot on international. I play mainly on french and the original 420GP horses aren't really worth any more than others.
I would love to see an update if you have one? Also I was wondering how you found the foundation horses in the sales? Is there a way to filter for them?
Hi! Yep, I have a second video here: th-cam.com/video/2RMN8pBXQaY/w-d-xo.html and I'm going to try to post a 3rd update...eventually, lol. I have a video for searching for Foundations in the sales here: th-cam.com/video/h5WszFd-NQY/w-d-xo.html There isn't filter for it, but you can use the ones available to help narrow it down, then always be sure to check the parents for Ouranos and Gaia before you buy.
im going to try to do this from a new account on a non pass farm and we're gonna see how it goes and how long it takes. I started the account today, I already have 7 of the foundie horses i need and one of the 2nd gen horses born, 2 more in gestation. I think im doing fine.
The most interesting thing I saw was this horse that entered in the thoroughbred cutting competition it was 99% thoroughbred and 1% of another breed I was shook. Nothing else was listed
Ah, yes, that happens when you pick one breed in that cross's genetics list, and breed to purebreds of that breed only. You can no longer breed a cross back to purebred so it will always have 1% of the other breed listed. I have several horses that started out as a 50/50 Irish Hunter x Arabian, and kept breeding each generation to a purebred Arabian. I eventually ended up with a 99% Arabian, 1% Irish Hunter : )
I’d be interested in a mini-community of all-breed breeders. I.e. having non-standard ‘purebred’ allbreed horses. If you or anyone else would like, I can start a group chat in multiple places and we can advertise ‘pure’ allbreeds.
Can you make A vidio of you making A LP Kinda make A new acc and Them like do NOT play witout filmningen okay i cant explain. If you guys understand comment it!! Like If you agree
Do you mean I should start a new account and only play when I film/record? If so, that is something I've thought of doing before. I can not record my voice everyday, so there would be videos with a music overlay and I was not sure if that was something people would be interested in. But I am open to it :D
I love the way you presented this! It's engaging and you do such a great job editing and explaining. ✌️👌
I laughed when a spreadsheet showed up.
Of course Julie’s a fan of a breeding video, even more so one with a spreadsheet! 😂
Thank you for the feedback! I don't cover breeding projects very often, so I hoped the way I tackled the subject wouldn't appear dull : )
This sounds interesting, I'll think about doing it! I'd love to see more of it :)
Awesome, thanks! I enjoyed the first project, so I recommend trying it : )
I recently bred a welsh to a thoroughbred and also bred a welsh to a quarter horse!
I wanted to do this yeeaars ago with a friend, but we never got to it. This video definitely motivated me to try it and pull through this time!
Awesome! Good cluck with the project! :D
I love this challenge and I will do it myself. Thanks for sharing that.
You're welcome! Have fun with it, and good luck : )
It sounds so interesting! Good luck!
Thank you : )

i might do this on my international when i get it more set up since its a newer account and i have very low equus
I really enjoyed my first project, so I hope you'll like it, too!
Sounds good! Now I have something to keep me busy on Howrse🙂 (besides the skiller breeding and promos)

I think it's mostly due to nostalgia, and they're treated like a collector's item. Interesting how not all servers view them the same way.

thats so cool thanks!
Have you bred the French trotters in yet?
Yep, I did. I crossed it to my Kerry Bog pony, and am adding that cross to my Gen 3 pairings because of the odd numbers I have in Gen 2.

Message me at lilabug4545 on the international server!
