I can just imagine Crocodile coming up with the idea of bounties on Marines, Buggy hyping it up and making it an actual thing and when both of them asked Mihawk to go hunting, he probably just sent the baboons.
They just created an Infinite money glitch
Now mihawk has a squad of baboons that dress as marines and have some of their mannerisms
Imagine a bunch baboons with mihawks sword and wearing officer coats
This would not of made sense pre-1056
since he ran a whole organization of bounty hunters...
If it was the first half of the grandline, those Baboon would be a fairly big threat, but in the New World, more of an annoyance. It be funny to see a Marine Ship sailing up to an island and it not being Marines but just a bunch of Baboon getting off.
Imangine the Baboon that mimic's Mihawk, started sailing around just like him.
I am 500% sure that Buggy lied to all his crew about having Crocodile and Mihawk under his command and the 2 of them found out and were like "oh, this could work"

I just want you all to realize there’s a very real chance Alvida has equal standing in the world as King and Katakuri right now.
I mean she does have basically infinite defense. Her fruit was only shown once but it was BUSTED

@@dudeistpreist5721 Honestly, I'm not sure if Haki can even break past it. Haki allows you to grab a logia element, but it doesn't stop being itself. She might be able to slip around normal blows and you might need Advanced Armament to hit her.
I absolutely love how crocoboy has kept his importance to the story.
As much as doffy is a cool character i prefer crocs version of the archetype, hes just so cool headed and tactical

Then having croco be luffys mom just feels weird as a story point for one piece, especially as its hinted that luffys mom is dead

People say it's Croco-boy's idea but I can clearly imagine Buggy in desperation screaming "whoever kills a marine gets 200,000 berri" to his rapidly becoming amazed followers.
The cross guild is a good way to bring old enemies back into the story as the cross guilds executive officers but I highly doubt Kuro or Kreig would be in the cross guild since they would have to reach the new world to join the crew. Maybe some of the tobbi roppo could join back up with the cross guild if Kaido is actually dead which I doubt as well, Like Ulit & Page One or Sasaki.
Maybe gine… I could see him joining cross guild.

I think it would be funny if the Straw Hats join the cross guild, we know there is going to be a War for the One Piece. So doesn’t Buggy and Crocodile, 2 that helped Luffy during marineford, and Mihawk, that trained Zoro during the time skip. Isn’t it weird that they are the 3 in the cross guild specifically?

Would Kreig be able to work alongside Mihawk? He's the one who completely destroyed Kreig's armada. I'm 100% on board with Kuro joining. Also, I could see the Germa, not joining the guild, but I think they would definitely take advantage of the marine bounties.

Unless Kreig decided to improve himself over the last two years, I don't see how he could have gotten this far unless he is working under someone stronger.
I can kinda imagine that Crocodile joined up with Buggy to use him - after all he has a good chunk of experience on how to lead an underground organisation. Buggy as the face of the guild and Crocodile as the brain... as for Mihawk i kinda imagine he is just kinda chilling at the Cross Guild HQ, maybe asking Buggy something about Shanks and everybody just thinks he wanted to join the great warlord Buggy xD
Crocodile is the kind of person who is willing to work with others to his advantage. Mihawk is probably just here to kill time.
I genuinely think Buggy came up with the idea of putting bounties on the marines. Crocodile probably added to that by getting all the warlords together and form the Cross Guild. Mihawk is amongst the two as the face of the organisation because he came up with the other part of the plan. I think Crocodile also has a plan to connect Cross Guild to the Revolutionaries because both of them have the same goal (dethrone the Celestial and leave a long lasting scar on the World Government). Crocodile wants to recieve as much information on the ancient weapons as possible. The Cross Guild is also spreading information about the World Governement and turning nations against them. They are going further by segmenting the organisation into divisions.
One division is hunting all the devil fruit power users and monitoring Blackbeard's move - consulting Shanks about his interests.
Second divisions is tracking down the ancient weapons - keeping then 'safe from Blackbeard and others'.
Third division is working with the Revolutionaries in damaging the Government's reputation and getting closer to dethroning the Celastials.
Ultimately, their goal is to take hold of the situation. However, the organisation is destined to collapse because all of this leads to the One Piece and everyone has their own motives. Even though they have a mutual respect for each other and working collaboratively working towards their goal, they do not agree with each other plans. Crocodile would betray them by stealing all the copies of the ponegliffs and Shanks would defend his ponegliff because he does not trust anyone and he is ultimately making his move against Blackbeard.
Would be cool if they got some non canon charecters like Douglas Bullet & Patrick Redfield but I doubt. However, Enel would be insane
Enel is best former enemy to this day imo! His Lightning ass better come back, at least during The Final War Arc.
With an army of Robot-Tontattas, and with Lore Drops from what he found out after deciphering the glyphs left on the Moon..

@@alaye5583 eh, not sure that works like that, zoro has had a black blade since forever, he still couldn't cut a logia without his arm haki on top.
I think it makes the weapon more durable / sharp and boosts whatever haki is used rather than auto haki
There is no question in my mind that the main reason Mihawk joined buggy is literally just to give a middle finger to Shanks.
I just picture Mihawk giving orders in Cross Guild similar to Thor giving orders when he joined the Guardians of The Galaxy.

I like to think the final little thing that pushed Mihawk into joining up was Crocodile showing him the very well stocked wine cellar he'd been collecting for just this occasion.

Could Johnny and Yoskau turn from hunting pirates to hunting Marines? Could lead to a reunion with Zoro and the Straw Hats from Arlong Park.
What about Gin? Could also be one way for him to show up again. Maybe he's now captain instead of Krieg.

Just thinking of Alvida and Richie being yonko commanders is hilarious, wouldn't it be crazy if Alvida awakened her devil fruit and Richie got one now thinking about it Alvidas awakened fruit would be hella powerful.
Crocodile could suggest that as a way of drawing attention away from himself, people might wonder how powerful Alvida, Richie, Gadino are if they outrank someone like Crocodile officially, unofficially Crocodile will still be running the show.
Even if they did get stronger Crocodile has much more influence and power being a former warlord and head of an underground assassination agency. Also it is shown that him Buggy and Mihawk are the faces of the guild which automatically puts them at a higher rank

As far as we know Fujitora and Ryokugyu were just random shumcks before the draft. So there are crazy strong people just lurking around.

The idea of Crocodile being the secret yonko, pulling strings behind the scenes is awesome
A deal was likely made with Mihawk and from what we've seen, Mihawk has no real issue siding with another if he gets something in return. As a warlord, he didn't have to deal with the Navy always coming after him and so he'd help them if it was within reason. Whatever deal was made with Mihawk this time is likely to do with him not having to deal with "small fries" all the time but he'll help deal with actual threats if the need arises.
Mihawk on his own is Yonko level but it's because he's a lone hawk that he's not. He fought on even ground with Shanks in the past, in what Whitebread called "Island destroying battles" before Shanks lost his arm and then became a Yonko. What we've seen Shanks do, I have no doubt that Mihawk can do the same or at least something similar.
13:45 - Given that Buggy had the resources & Galdino had the strategy, There's no way Crocodile could dehydrate him w/o getting a *Seaprism* knife through his arm.
17:25 - Buggy would also know Mihawk, due to the Warlords.
Buggy is kind of impervious to betrayal from either of them. Mihawk can't just slice him in half.

Some dangerous ppl and I’m telling y’all buggy is stronger than we think. I do believe his front actually may be the one and only df that might be immune to haki. I also feel buggy 100% has observation and has had it since the beginning.

i know this is completely out of topic, but my brother came with a teory. There is a character that will probably be relevant o the story that has been mentioned and we have seen the silhouette (most of the silhouette characters are important): LOKI. WE have been expecting elbaf to come soon (maybe is the next island but who knows), and the prince of elbaf will play a major role.
It is important to mention that loki in norse mythology is considered not only as a trickmaster but also as the fire god. I think odas description of "marked by flames" could not just be literal but also metaphorical, so maybe lokis life changed thanks to flames. So according to the norse mythology, he might be able to control the flames and after this his life changed, gaining the title of marked by flames, but i dont really like this idea. Instead there might be an interesting parallel here.
Loki in norse mythology is considered as a the god of mischief and god of fire as i mentioned before. Ironically, in one piece, big mom tried to decieve him (the god of mischief) after lola ran with her sister. Wouldnt it be also ironic if the god of fire got burnt?
I havent see no one talk about this possibility and i think it is worth the shot.
My guess, is that Crocodoile and Mr 1. showed up at the time to make a deal with Buggy, when the marines did, and he just dealt with them for Buggy.
I doubt Crocodile came up with the Cross Guild idea by setting the deal to Buggy as you played it out, i can not see Crocodile getting close to Buggy and force him into it. I can not see Crocodile blackmailing or forcing Buggy into it. They probably came up with it together and actually work as a team but Crocodile despite his strength allows Buggy to be the head in order to have his head safer and get scoff free easier in worst case scenario just like you correctly said. The only difference being that Crocodile is not like a master behind the curtain like you said but more like a scheming advisor to Buggy, influencing his decisions and rule from the shadows in a sense but not completely. The final decision is Buggy's, he has an army of the worst criminals of Impel Down from all of its levels. Even Whitebeard noticed this and mention how troublesome they could be. Its not like Buggy is just for shows, sure he is not strong but his charisma, luck and influence is identical to Luffy's.
Great assessment Tekking I was thinking excatly the same thing glad we think alike some of these One Piece commentators on TH-cam don't really go in depth and disect what this collab between Crocadile & Mihawk could possibly work and some reasons as to why they decided to join , love the content you bring to the table , keep up the hard work buddy 😀👌🏼💯💥🔥👏🏼🙂

I think the name “cross guild” could relate to the fact that Pirates often use a skull and “cross”bones as their symbol. So in a way, the name is a simple way of saying “hey, this is an organization for pirates that will let you hunt marines for rewards”. Actually, it’s like an adventure’s guild in an isekai, where you can accept quests for money.
Yup. It's a pirate guild. Cross bones is not used because some pirates used cross swords. So "Cross" is used to cover all of them. Probably only thing to do to join is pay a guild due up front.

After final catching up to the manga, this is the discussion I need
Tekking about Big Mom Poneglyph, After the death of White Beard, Fishman Island fell into chaos and was later stabilized by Big Mom claiming it as her own territory. Once Big Mom had claimed it as her territory, she or her commanders would have been able to explore all of Fishman Island unhindered. This would include The Sea Forest. It was revealed during Oden’s flashback that one of the Road Poneglyphs was sitting beside another Poneglyph in the forest, but by the time the Straw Hats had arrived there, it was missing. Upon discovering the Road Poneglyph in The Sea Forest, Big Mom may have sent one of her Sweet Commanders to go and retrieve it, bringing it back to Totto Land. This would explain where Big Mom got her Road Poneglyph from since it was never revealed. This time frame would also fall in line with the 2 Year Timeskip, which was when Eustass Kid would have entered the New World. Upon arriving there, Kid may have spotted Big Mom’s ship leaving Fishman Island and carrying the Road Poneglyph. Knowing Kid I would not be surprised that he would attack a Yonko ship immediately after making it into the New World.
I think a problem with that is that it was mentioned Roger tricked her into letting him see the poneglyph. I don't think it's the same.
Except Roger got one of his etchings from big mom, then he got the one on fishman island later.
Roger got all poneglyhps from Big Mom, Fishman Island, Zou, and Wano
Current know Road/Lode Poneglyphs locations are Whole Cake Island, Zou, and Wano. We are missing the one from Fishman Island originally, which might be under BB, because Fishman was once WB territory before Big Mom. WB might relocate the the poneglyph to New World, which then taken by BB after his death.

What if Gin join the Cross guild I really liked him and thought he was really cool and he was strong for East blue standards he was able to overpower East blue Sanji and on top of that he told Luffy that he hopes to see him again in the grand line power wise currently in the story I would say that he knows pretty good observation and armament haki with armament being his specialty and he could even have a devil fruit I would say some kind of venomous Ancient snake snake fruit be cool because his jacket had a lot of snakes on it could have been a hint to his future power up and if he does have a snake fruit I could even see him joining up with Crocodile as his number Three because I always thought sand and snake kinda of go together perfectly for his new bounty I can see it being 220 million or 570 million

The two characters I want to see join the Cross Guild the most are Kuro and Gin.
They are fodder... that's the entire problem with the guild all except 2 are complete fodder who have only survived this long with luck and bravado. And a yonko crew which is fodder is a sad ass development for OP

@@didack1419 there's levels to fodder. A yonko crew should not be defeated by just a small fraction of another Yonko crew. The Yonkos are supposed to be of similar level and power. That's part of the geopolitical balance they contribute to. Any random ex yonko commander could pull up with a small crew and wipe out Buggy and his crew. Jack the trash could solo Buggy's fake ass yonko crew and that makes a mockery of the Yonkos.

And it's likely that Crocodile can provide elite fighters.
Luffy also soloed a big chunk of Big Mom's army, prior to ryuuou and future sight and without using G4.
And with the replacement of Yonkou, it's believable that the average power of the Yonkou has gone down.

See I agree that buggy isn’t that strong and that mehawk and crocodile are the powerhouses but I think people are underestimating him he’s fought against the whitebeard pirates as a child and white beard remembers him very well meaning he put up a fight and he probably knows mehawk quite personally bc he was shanks rival so they’ve probably met at least once and I know this is out their but I think buggy has conquerors haki bc like luffy people just seem to follow him obviously not even close to some of the people we’ve seen but I believe it’s there and bc unlike shanks he never wanted to become powerful and look for the one pice it has stunted his haki which is why at the start of the story he doesn’t have any bc haki is liked to your will and he had no will to grow and now since he’s been growing I recon we’ll see it soon plus I think he specialises in observation haki bc he was able to react to mehawks swing in an instant

My personal theory is when the marines attacked mihawk he had to fight an admiral and during that fight perona was at the battlefield and got injured so mihawk joined buggy because he had a large army in order to keep perona safe as we know he cares for he like a daughter
