Literally the best comeback in music history and it’s so well done! Such a badass move! Loved your reaction - you should check out the breakdown of all the eastereggs in this video. There are so many! E.p. When she lifts the motorcycles, it is a reference to her old label big machine record because she was the one that made most of the money for them and made them popular
I think brute may be referring to 'Et tu Brute?' from Julius ceaser where Brutus was Julius's friend and planned his murder and stabbed him in the back.
The writing on the throne is in latin and it says: “Et tu, Brute?”, meaning literally “And you, Brutus?”. It is said by Caesar (in Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar) upon recognising Brutus as one of the assassins murdering him. It’s a phrase used to represent an unexpected betrayal by someone you thought of as a friend.
"Et Tu Brute" is a line from Shakespeare's Caesar - It's Latin and translates to 'And you, Brutus'. Caesar says it when he is assassinated and stabbed in the back by his close friend, Brutus.
"Et tu Brute" means "Even you, Brutus?" in latin. It was the phrase in Shakespeare's play said by Julius Ceaser while he was beeing murdered by his adopted son, Marcus Brutus (he was stabed in the back 😉). It is used to express indignation in front of a situation of betrayal. Taylor is a genius.
Her come back will be ICONIC forever!! React to a decoding of look what you made me do.. you can find in TH-cam... There are 100s of Easter eggs... Taylor says that there are so many that are yet to be figured out by fans
The motorcycle scene is Taylor holding up those Big Machines all by herself. Big Machine is the label that made her earlier albums she is re recording. This scene was before she left them. She accounted for 40% of their sales and they would not let her buy her masters.
"Et tu Brute" is a Latin quote from a Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" wherein Caesar is stabbed fatally by Brutus -- a trusted friend who joined a conspiracy to assassinate him -- and answers his betrayal by saying that phrase, which basically means, "You too, Brutus?" (I might have misspelled or mistranslated slightly, but that's the gist.) People use that quote to express that they feel betrayed/"stabbed in the back" by someone they once trusted.
There’s no time I watch the video and it doesn’t give me goosebumps, being a swiftie since 2008 has been a rollercoaster but sticking by her side is always worth it cause she always manages to come back and make us so freakin proud 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😭😭😭

Wow you picked up on a lot from the first watch! So glad you got the blue dress from 1989!! Yes you’re spot on 👍 so two of your questions; scene with all the manufactured girls is a reference to her ‘squad’ and how she got flack for having all these model friends etc. The car crash is still abit unsure, some think it’s a dig at Katy Perry with the leopard print and haircut, the Grammy would be a dig that Katy had never won one. Some people think it’s a dig at Kanye and Kim, the receipt editing bit at the end being about Kim publishing the phone call between Kanye and Taylor but editing it so it doesn’t show the whole story. Hope that helps :) oh and need to do Wildest Dreams soon! Or Ready for It is another good one from Reputation album

@@miorajoannapp but her hair cut/style in the front looks like Katy's and then that last scene from the back is more like Kim, and she says she is going to edit receipts later (altered tape conversation). Also the leopard in the car I believe is a nod to Justin B. because he has one of those exotic cats. The gold car could be Katy or Kim because there is an article on both of them and a gold car. Did you notice this TS on the building in front where the car crashed and the building blowing up? Anyway, I believe the car crash covers multiple meanings. The cutting off of the airplane wing possibly represents cutting off her wings by destroying her image.
I think it is a reference to how when she got in the car crash people only took photos instead of helping her. So I think when #Taylorswiftpartyisover was trending people only wrote articles and attacked instead of helping her.

I’m relating so much with you, because I have just became a Taylor swift fan, and you are watching exactly what I watched, like a week ago, I’m loving your reactions!
Thank you so much for your reaction!!! I loved that you started over a few times in the beginning so you could pay attention to everything. You should also definitely watch a decoding video about this, because it is tooo much to write. There are a few on TH-cam normally. The scene where she picks up the motorcycles will not be explained in those videos because back than we didn’t know something yet, and Taylor also said there are still a lot more things and Easter eggs in the video that we haven’t found. So the scene where she picks up the motor cycles means that she carried “big machine records” which is her old label, the ones who sold her music to 🛴. She was their biggest artist. And the scene where she crashes the car, she indeed doesn’t look like herself. People think she looks like Katy Parry, but I have also heard people saying that it has something to do with Justin Bieber cause he crashed a car once. But I don’t know if those things are true, the Taylor that crashes the car is also the Taylor that says “I am getting receipts, gonna edit this later” in the ending scene. And that is a reference to what Kim Kardashian did do I think it’s maybe her. The ‘brute’ is “et tu, brute?” It’s from Julius Caesar. The rest will probably be explained in the decoding videos of this music video.
Love love loved your reaction! This video was a masterpiece. Such a bad ass comeback. I went on this tour and it was amazing and insane. Great comparison to 8 mile!
RIP Gabbsi. She died dead from this music video lol. And heck yeah it is ICONIC. In fact, I'd say Taylor Swift will forever be an icon. She's a smart, intelligent, witty, creative, charming, adorable, entertaining business woman. She IS a force to be reckoned with. And she's also a very loving and caring person. Now as far as whether or not she's an actress, I say 100% YES. She's the lead actress in her music videos. I've also seen her on Valentine's Day, Cats and The Giver. I wish she was the lead in movies. She knows how to put on a show and perform for the audience. I've been thinking for awhile now that she should lean into making movies or writing fantasy books turned into movies. Especially after the beautiful creation she made with her 10 minute version of "All Too Well" music video. Or maybe make mini movies for her albums. The world is her oyster really. All I know is that everything is better with Taylor Swift. Her music brightens up my day, it sets me right in the mood I want to be in. That's why I could never pick a favorite album of hers. They're all different kinds of moods for me. I love her artistic artwork whether on film, tv or music. If Taylor's behind it, I know it's gonna be a treat.
I still cant get over the fact that this video is 13:00 minutes long!!!! I dont know if she knows about the no.13 connection with taylor. But GOD this is insane!!!!!

Some speculate it references Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery. 6) There's a single dollar in the bathtub - a nod to DJ David Mueller who groped her. He lost his job because of this and sued Taylor for 3 million dollars. Taylor counter sued for a dollar (to show that she didn't do this for money) and won the case. There's also a 'NO' spelled out on the ground next to the bathtub, some speculate it means that Calvin Harris proposed to her and she said no, but I'm definitely not sure about this one. 7) When Taylor says 'how you laugh when you lie' her reflection doesn't match her - the Taylor in the mirror is clapping. 8) The throne scene shows Taylor as the queen of snakes, refferencing Kim's tweet where she calls her a snake. She embraces the image with snake jewelry. 9) I can't realy see what's written on the columns (it mentions Brute, if someone knows, please help) but on the throne (where Taylor taps her nails) 'Et tu, Brute?' is written. Meaning: 'You too, Brute?'. Might be a nod to some of her fake friends she trusted (Zendaya, who agreed with Kim's tweet and liked similiar ones or Karlie Kloss, who is rumoured to leak information about Taylor to the media). 10) Just before the car crash scene, 12 snakes jump out, making Taylor the 13th (13 is Taylor's lucky number) 11) The car might be a reference to Katy Perry's "Waking Up In Vegas", Daft Punk winning the album of the year instead of Taylor's Red or to her Red album (the title track has the lyric "Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street". 12) The hairdo looks a lot like Katy Perry's (as well as the animal print coat). 13) Taylor is holding a Grammy - either saying that Red deserved a Grammy, or taking a dig at Katy for having 0 Grammys, while Taylor had 10 (at the time). 14) The paparazzi ar played by her tour dancers. 15) I don't know what the cheetah is doing here, but it reminds me of Blank Space (which had a white horse appearing randomly - maybe it shows that what's happening in the video isn't the real Taylor?) 16) There's a TS on the red curtain. 17) Taylor in a cage might reference how she feels - it's a fancy cage (with champagne and lobster), but still - she's not free to do everything she wants to. 18) There's a snake tatoo on her leg - might reference, once again, people calling her a snake or one of the Kardashian-Jenner's magazine cover with a snake tatoo. 19) She has 7 bodyguards behing her - if Karma existed, reputation would have been the 7th album. 20) The bank robbing scene shows Taylor stealing money from Stream Co - this scene references people saying that she is money hungry after Taylor said that streaming companies don't pay the artists enough. Taylor pulled her full catalogue out of the streaming platforms for some time. 21) The robbers are wearing cat masks - either references Katy Perry's fans, who are called KatyCats or just Taylor's big love for cats. 22) "All I think about is Karma" - swifties speculate that the TS6 originally was called Karma. 23) I really don't know anything about the first motorcycle scene, so help me out if you know anything! 24) The next scene references the so-called "Taylor squad" - a group of Taylor's famous friends. People really hated on it and said that it was fake and you had to be really pretty to be here. Taylor was once again portrayed as an evil mastermind. Here she uses this, playing a villainous looking leader of a plastic, robot-y girl squad. 25) You can see "U Squad" flashing. 26) Next - Taylor has 8 dancers (assistants?) wearing 'I ❤ TS' shirts and symbolizing her 8 famous exes. There are also eight lamps in the room. 27) You can see Taylor cutting of the wings on a plane - it might simbolize TS6 never 'airing'. Taylor spray paints reputation instead. 28) The cross is a T, for Taylor. 29) You can see a lot of Taylors from the past events and music video trying to climb up to the top, where reputation taylor is standing. Taylor's shaking off all of her past personas and saying that they are dead. The new Taylor is her true self and she won't play any more parts. 30) Taylor's wearing a lot of snake rings while holding a phone - identical to the phone in the 'Our Song' music video, just yellow. 31) Fearless and Red Taylors fighting for being the forst rerecording? 32) Taylor rarely dances in her music videos and people made fun of her awkward-looking dancing at award shows (which caused her to write Shake It Off) - to prove them wrong she dances in this music video and it's amazing. 33) Her walking away from an explosion might simbolize her not caring about the drama anymore. 34) Taylor carrying two motorcycles shows that she carries her label - Big Machine Records. She has left the label and is now rerecording her old albums. 35) There are 15 Taylors in the ending scene - reputation has 15 tracks. 36) This scene is Taylor acknowledging and making fun of what media says about her - the surprised face she makes when she wins an award, her being offended by Kanye calling her a 'b*tch' in his song, her being the 'nice girl, America's sweetheart' and people calling her fake, media saying that Taylor's playing the victim, Kim heavily editing the call which 'calls out' Taylor. The last phrase references Taylor's response to the edited phone call - ‘I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be part of, since 2009.’ Other Taylors tell her to shut up, meaning that everyone - including Taylor herself - are tired of the drama. These are all the easter eggs I know of. Some of them I found myself, but a lot are from youtubers doing decoding videos - shoutout to them. Taylor says a lot of easter eggs are still not found!
This video is just so brilliant. We just can’t with it. Taylor is a TRUE ARTIST. She always has the best to show to the world. The best shades are also coming from her. The queen!!🔥🔥🔥

You've talked about so many things that I haven't noticed or given much thought to and it's making me appreciate TS even more. This might be the best music video ever created. Once you're familiar with the Taylor's career there are so many other things you will notice in this video too. Everything is so well thought out!
"Et tu, brute?" Is an expression that Julius Caesar was reported to have said when he was when he was assassinated by his council and Brute, who was his son, was among the people who stabbed him. "You too, Brutus?" It's said in the case of an unexpected betrayal. Taylor was betrayed for sooo many people in a short period of time, like Caesar was
I just love this music video, I think it's her best! Taylor is a force of nature and it shows! You're videos are great, I love hearing your opinion about Taylor's art! It would be interesting to see you react to an album :)
The last scene , everything they were saying to each other like " your so fake " or " playing the victim again " are word for word thing that people said to or about her before. Seriously you need to watch a break through of this music video. Taylor filled it with references to othe thing . Like every scene every theme is a reference to what had happened to her or what was said about her before . You think its so perfect now . Watch those to see what an actual genius she is . I'm not even her fan but my mind was blown after watching a break through.
Great reaction! You should watch the breakdown video, there are so many references it's mind blowing. Also you should check some of live performances. Some of my favorites are - wildest dreams (grammy museum) - out of the woods (1989 tour) - lover (live lounge) - cornelia street (live in paris) - I don't wanna live forever (super saturday night) - all too well (rep tour)
You must watch videos explaining the easter eggs on this video, there are soooo many easter eggs that even in 2020 Taylor said we hadn't figured all of them.

hey so the brute thing is that it says "et tu, brute" which is a reference to the famous words of betrayal that Julius ceased said when he was murdered!
The scene with her holding a grammy was to signify that she has, but katy perry does not. The tiger was also a snub to Perry since she has a song called "Roar" aka the thing tigers do and its very associated with her brand.

The "et tu brute" Means "even you Brutos? from Julio Caesar famous play, where his friend BRUTOS betray him. When taylor was being attacked by the media and internet in 2016, even people that was known to be her "close friends" was betraying her, so this frase is for them.

4) You can see Nils Sjöberg written on one of the gravestones - it's Taylor's pseudonym which she used to co-write Calvin Harris and Rihanna's hit song "This Is What You Came For"
5) The bathtub could be a reference to Taylor explaining how the media portrays her in the grammy museum - "She jet sets around the world, collecting men, and she can get any of them ... but she's so clingy, so they leave and she cries and then she gets another one in her web and she traps them and locks them in her mansion and then she's crying in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls." Meaning: 'You too, Brute?'. Might be a nod to some of her fake friends she trusted (Zendaya, who agreed with Kim's tweet and liked similiar ones or Karlie Kloss, who is rumoured to leak information about Taylor to the media).
10) Just before the car crash scene, 12 snakes jump out, making Taylor the 13th (13 is Taylor's lucky number)
11) The car might be a reference to Katy Perry's "Waking Up In Vegas", Daft Punk winning the album of the year instead of Taylor's Red or to her Red album (the title track has the lyric "Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street".
15) I don't know what the cheetah is doing here, but it reminds me of Blank Space (which had a white horse appearing randomly - maybe it shows that what's happening in the video isn't the real Taylor?)
16) There's a TS on the red curtain.
Another person already pointed all that out
She wrote this song for Kanye west (the Grammy award in the first chorus)
This video is just so brilliant. We just can’t with it. Taylor is a TRUE ARTIST. She always has the best to show to the world. The best shades are also coming from her. The queen!!🔥🔥🔥
Nils Sjöberg (see my name) is her pseudonym when she wrote one if Riri's all time hit "this is what you came for" with her then bf calvin harris
Girl your editing is also fire, another great video.
Goshhhh I need more reaction video right now.
Subscribed :) I'm really enjoying all your insights into the symbolism and creative decisions in these videos. You've talked about so many things that I haven't noticed or given much thought to and it's making me appreciate TS even more.
This might be the best music video ever created. Once you're familiar with the Taylor's career there are so many other things you will notice in this video too. Everything is so well thought out!
yeah she is amazinggg!!
"Et tu, brute?" Is an expression that Julius Caesar was reported to have said when he was when he was assassinated by his council and Brute, who was his son, was among the people who stabbed him. "You too, Brutus?" It's said in the case of an unexpected betrayal. Taylor was betrayed for sooo many people in a short period of time, like Caesar was
The fact that this video is 13 minutes long makes it even better
Super great reaction, thank you.
I LOVE UR REACTIONS OF TAYLOR
This reaction was amazing and your face the entire time is like: 😳😨😱*intense realisation*

bestie react to the decoding of this video, this video has so many hidden meaning it’s crazy
Some of my favorites are
- wildest dreams (grammy museum)
- out of the woods (1989 tour)
- lover (live lounge)
- cornelia street (live in paris)
- I don't wanna live forever (super saturday night)
- all too well (rep tour)
You must watch videos explaining the easter eggs on this video, there are soooo many easter eggs that even in 2020 Taylor said we hadn't figured all of them.

The MV that made me a swiftie 💕
You should definetly react to her performance at the amas 2018 of the song I Did Something Bad.
Really should watch the breakdown of it
The scene with her holding a grammy was to signify that she has, but katy perry does not. The tiger was also a snub to Perry since she has a song called "Roar" aka the thing tigers do and its very associated with her brand.
What I love about her and that song is that she never victimized.
I loved this reaction, it's amazing!! you should watch Miss Americana btw, it'll explain a lot :)
You need to react to folklore and evermore!!! Also All too well the short film 🥺
Plis react to the reputation tour😍😍😍

The way everyone who wronged her is flopping and getting divorced lol tayvodoo
She was like " welcom to your tape, everyone "
OH CAUSE SHE’S DEAD - A ICONIC MOMENT 😩😭
You gotta watch the Ready for it and delicate music videos ! They’re from the same album
Yes, the Lyrics!!! She writes them herself btw.

$12 million budget had the video
Check out Blank Space next, the approximately cost of that one was $240,400.59
Tilted stage is reference to kanye west concert Stage they are little tilted , nilas spolberg is Taylor Swift alias name credited as songwriter in this is what you came for music video by rihaana and Kelvin , that robbery scence is from the streaming services vault because Spotify called her greedy for asking fair pay and all those robot models are reference to squad in 1989 era when media use to tell her she is making all them like herself and controlling them .
WILDEST DREAMS PLEASEEEEE
you should react to the live version of this!!!
You too Brutus? Famous Caesar quote
REPUTATION TOUR
I never noticed that! Et tu Brute? is from Julius Caesar i think. Brutus was Casears friend and stabbed him in the back
i told yaaaa she's a fucking genius. that's it
The "et tu brute" Means "even you Brutos? from Julio Caesar famous play, where his friend BRUTOS betray him. When taylor was being attacked by the media and internet in 2016, even people that was known to be her "close friends" was betraying her, so this frase is for them.
Pls react to her AMA’s 2019 performance
You should react to a video of the hidden easter eggs in the video, even Taylor said we haven't found all of them
How about a reaction to Harry Styles. Girl crush cover live
