Space Shuttle Launch Experience. For those of you who cannot visit Forida, here it is. For those of you who can make it here, it is a must see attraction.
Went to Kennedy last summer and did launch control, VAB, and launch pad tours. Then we spent 2 hours doing the shuttle launch experience over and over! It was awesome!
I went on this a few days after Christmas. I am from the UK and always been interested in the Space program. Loved every minute of my time in florida and the day at Kennedy.
the coolest ride at the VC. its like the coolest ride. I like it a lot. I hope you enjoyed it. I live in cape Canaveral and go there almost every week. its super fun.
Hawkeye Pierce Loved it too! i went once in 9th grade and totally loved it all! This is by far the realest as it comes. Glad i got to experience this! Not many people can say that they have.
Is this like a roller coaster or does it just shake and has anyone threw up on this ride. Cuz I wanna ride it but don’t know how fast it goes. If it just shakes or what.
STS-51J was Shuttle Atlantis first flight in 1985, a year before the Challenger. Atlantis is located at the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex along with the shuttle launch simulator.
Kennedy Space Center is amazing... I could go back there over and over and never get bored. It's incredible.
Got to love it that the man in charge of all of NASA is the host of the ride. Be like if Bob Iger hosted a ride at Disney World
He came and spoke at our school when he came to visit our Marine Corps Air Station in Japan.
I visited the Kennedy Space Centre in 1988, best day of my life! I would love to come over from the UK again to ride this!

I've been on this and I enjoyed it! it was so cool that they actually put you at a 90° angle! If you go to the KSC, go on this ride. It's a MUST!
Is it like a roller coaster?
Looks kinda cool , like to try it sometime with the grandsons!
This ride was so AWESOME

I've been on this before and it is AWESOME!
I know you get put into a 90’ and shake but does the room itself move move like on a track or is it locked in on robotics and shakes?
just left Kennedy space center !!!!! love that ride

Rode this 2 weeks ago. It was fun but the tilt caught me offguard.
My only visit to KSC was in summer 2004. Looks like I have to get back!

I'm still shocked they got John young to be one of the guests people in the promo, that was on the shuttle launch experience.
Are you locked into your seat?

How fast does that thing go fast like a roller coaster or no.
it goes like a real rocket at about a few thousand miles per hour which is fast as shit
Bartek - omg I thought it went slower than the shuttle.
Bartek - but it doesn't go up and down it just shakes right.
Bartek - cuz I thought this ride was slower than the shuttle.
Bartek - the actual shuttle not the ride experience
well of course
centrifuge? atlas? what exactly is this
4:23 that wasn't STS-51L that was 51J
I guess they didn't want to bring back the nightmares of 51L
