Different areas are definitely using different techniques. I’ve always hung the top sheet first, lifting it tight to the ceiling, then hung the bottom sheet with a floor jack tight to the upper sheet. Not to mention boards are leaned against a wall for cutting and prepping vs. laying down, that has to kill your back leaning over all day long vs hanging a square on a sheet and holding the bottom with your foot for scoring.
Great Job Guys..quick question. What fixings screws(make, type, length and width?) are you using in your screw guns. Thank you. All the best for 2023!!..
@@Maxkil Makes sense - here in the UK screws are just used in the middle and most guys don't use collated guns yet just a drywall gun and 500 screws in a pouch. If on price (which most smaller firms are) the time saved by not having to faff around is unreal especially on ceilings. It would be nice to see the price of collated screws come down a bit per 1000 to the normal drywall screws. Thanks for the reply.
Nah you can't stack them on the walls, order gets delivered with ceilings on top then sheets for the bathrooms. These sheets are 6meters long. There's nowhere else to put them.
@@Maxkil well said, smallish apartment and 6 metre 10mm thick boards! You are going at some pace, if someone wants to criticise then perhaps they can film their work in their country working even faster and more efficiently. Highly doubt it.
Why the hell do you guys start from the bottom. Massive gaps everywhere along the top. I do piece work as well and I’m always in residential subdivisions... and I have never see guys start from the bottom on walls...

@@tokenpoke1661 It’s never that bad where you can’t start from the top... and even if the house does get moulding, the drywall should still bud up against each leaving as little gaps as possible, and still get taped. Again, I guess it’s different here in Canada. I work for a big company, once me and my crew put on the drywall, we move on to the next and tapers come behind us and tape the houses. Btw, those 16’ looking sheets are fucking amazing. No joints anywhere. Biggest we get are 12’

Great work. I find it fascinating how different building is in different areas

Definitely wood mate!

Now I have seen it being used , just had to watch more.

Hi, can somebody tell me what type of studs they use? What standard?
Good channel amazing guys 😎👍🏻
What’s the blue stuff in the bucket for ??
called stud adhesive. sticks drywall to timber or metal along with screws too
What material is the blue framework that you screw the boards to?
Steel.
Just out of interest do you guys use the adhesive on the studs so you dont have to screw the whole of the centre of the boards?
Thanks
Yeah pretty much, the glue holds the sheets really well. That's the code here

No wiring?
Half day for that house ?
What about insulation? There is not even a single batt in walls before plaster mate.

Tell your suppliers to load the job properly. Board men shouldn't have to move all that board. Like your boarding the place twice.
