Having roughly 1000 games with Invoker and I think the most important skill is to not fuck up your team. What I mean is, think about your spell casting, rather than going autopilot. Not always dream about the Tornado, EMP, Sunstrike, or Tornado, Meatball, Defening Blast combo, with refresher. But one fucked up tornado can lose you the game. Don't autopilot. Use spells when needed. And also, I think one of the biggest mistakes made by me that is hard to "learn" Stay fucking away from the fight as much as possible. Nearly never start the fight, because you will always be jumped. Let someone start it, pick you targets, destroy them. Especially true for spellcasting Voker.
Right click Invoker is definitely strongest this patch. Wraith band/bracer or bracer/bracer, brown boots, witch blade into bkb or parasma. Then itemize according to the game (pike, linkens, manta, etc) (880 invoker games, grandmaster tier) doesn’t mean spell casting isn’t the better build in some scenarios
Honestly the hardest part about Invoker is the “invoke” cooldown. Like you said, in the late game I can make up for casting the wrong spell that’s still on CD cause I can just invoke again but early and mid game it’s what’s hard. I think a way to make this video more understandable is to clear up the orb thing your friend told you . I learned it with time but maybe you could show literally what buttons to push to explain having the orbs in the correct order to invoke right away after you throw out your first spell.
it is so refreshing to hear an immortal invoker player say that ta is a counter to him in the lane and unless you can meteor combo them off refract cd which they always know to prepare since its such a common match if they are somewhat good enough to make sure they sustain through it you cant win the lane
Im a vet that didnt play for 4 years but TA is historically a bad match up for invoker as you get outfarmed so hard. The early game dmg difference used to be huge. Also voker is neither particularly fast nore has good armor early game. TA really is best vs squishy low armor targets.
This video is very high quality, but I’m a beginner (to mobas in general) been playing Dota for a few days and I have like zero idea what any of this means. Guess I just need to keep playing and I’ll eventually figure things out lol
I have 1400 games in Dota. Nevery played invoker, wanted to learn some things. You start full speed into details. Maybe first explain what wex exort etc. actually is. What is the champion idea behind invoker? I know you can "invoke" some spells. But the intro was basically non existent.
I absolutely love your content. I love listening to your videos while im at work (boss lets me). I would love for you to do more videos on invoker because it is my favourite hero to play as well.
im just a divine invoker player and exort really doesnt work on our rank as most of the games it’s about 5 maning and u can’t do that with a slow moving exort voket
I think I have to agree with Dotachronicles. You can't make it anymore easier really. I mean yes, you can talk about the orbs, but thats what the game is telling you with the menu as well. I would argue invoker is a hard to play hero, super situational and can have enormous impact or little, depending on your build, playstyle and experience. You will normally lose the mid lane, there are a few matchups you can win, but most matchups you will lose. So it'S a lot about not losing to hard, having a gank or two on the side lanes, fall back to jungle at times and helping with SS. Make sure to come online asap, without feeding mid. Especially against ganks.
That's fair enough. I will say though as someone who used to rock invoker years ago, this video was the perfect amount of a refresher on how Invoker works so I think it does work nicely as a more recent overview.
Hi i have just started playing invoker this helped out soo much tysm for the tips😊, is there any chance u can gift me kid invoker i really love it!!!!😊

I’ve played the matchup enough to know unless the TA is a bot your going to get rolled , unless you land a tornado , cold snap meteor sunstrike combo

With time you will understand these things , so don’t stress just play and have fun with time comes wisdom

You have to play exort with the right team and vs a non aggro 5 man , otherwise you get run over
Thanks ti your video , my play improved quite a bit , I mean not just little but extremely, continuously getting mvp with emp
Comments like these make me happy 🙏🏼 I’m glad my video helped 😃
Good guide, but could use more of a breakdown on item builds
Thats topson's invoker meta right? The ",quas wex " invoker ?
Yes exactly
The title should say how to play invoker as advanced player. Could not figure much of what you are saying as a beginner invoker.
I’m so sorry , I made it as easy as I could , which parts did you not understand I can try and explain here ?
