You are so likeable and genuinely a nice dude i wish you streamed in EU times too, Or maybe i didn't catch your EU streams anyway always love the reaction videos ^^
How come most of the TH-camrs I came across don't know about the Irminsul tree before? Like... wtf? How the hell do I know what it is then???? I don't even know where I picked up all this Info and lore from and I just randomly know everything LOL what?
I think Genshin is in a wonderful place for new players and short length vets. Like vets who have been playing for less than a year. But at this point, being nearly 2 years in and expecting more out of the game, I unfortunately didn't feel much hype for Sumeru :/ I'm definitely excited, but nowhere near how excited I was when Inazuma was first revealed. After seeing that the events are more mini games and they're adding more artifact sets, it just makes me wonder why I even play anymore. My artifacts after nearly 2 years are broken af. And I really see no content in the game where the intense artifact grind that Genshin demands even matters. Definitely not the spiral abyss. It's too easy. The new reactions will be fun to try out, but I'm sure it'll get stale quickly enough. I'm definitely not trying to be negative, I'm genuinely excited to experience Sumeru's story. But the gameplay of Genshin, man. A year in I was still happy despite the gameplay feeling a bit tedious. But after nearly 2 years, it's really, really getting old. I know Dendro will shake team comps up, but the actual challenges in the game seem to remain stale, so I'm not quite sure how involved I will be this patch. I saw comment that really resonated with me. The game is in a fantastic state for players the enjoy the game for the lore. But it's in a terrible place for people that like Genshin for its combat gameplay. It's just weird to me that a game who's mechanics are so heavily focused on combat has so little focus on combat every single patch. I see a lot of new players (less than year in the game) attack launch day vets for giving critical opinions of the game, but honestly, it's different experience once you've cleared all the content in the game and the only thing you can look forward to are events that, at least in my experience, are decent at best and awful quite often (in terms of gameplay). Yes, the events can be absolutely amazing when it comes to lore and character development. I'm not trying to take away from that. But don't tell me that picture events and bartending events are praise worthy gameplay. Every now and then you'll get a good combat event that should really be permanent. Just needed a little rant, as someone that genuinely loves this game, but a bit sad that the fun only last in the short run. I haven't found this to be true for FFXIV, so I know online games can get better if they chose to listen.
I definitely agree with you about the game being a fantastic game for lore-enthusiasts but not so much for combat players. For me, I’m satisfied with the game already except maybe a few fixes, but Hoyoverse should listen to the player base more. Maybe add like the Windtrace event permanent to the game (I know it isn’t combat based, just using it for an example).
I’ve been playing this game for about two years as well and I definitely get that feeling of repetitive work every new version. However, I don’t play the game for combat style but rather for the characters and the story. I personally was so hyped for the sumeru because not only was the music amazing(including the battle music which i tend to not love as much) but also the details of the mechanisms in sumeru and the different tropics in each statue of the seven area. That’s the first time i’ve seen something like this in genshin as liyue, for example, tends to look the same everywhere you go. I’m not saying that what you’re saying is bad because I completely agree with you; it can get very tedious and annoying. But if you started looking forward to small little things or maybe changed your focus to something else it could help. If this came off aggressive i’m sorry i didn’t mean to. I just hope this maybe could help you enjoy genshin in a new way. With that said, hope you have a good rest of your day :)
@@ember9821 Hey! Not aggressive at all no worries, but it's definitely not that I didn't give Genshin's story-based gameplay a chance. I love several video games specifically for their story despite struggling through gameplay that I dislike. Genshin is the opposite situation for me, unfortunately. I love the gameplay but I don't love the story. To be clear, I don't hate it. And it has exciting lore without a doubt. But, I'm not at all a fan of the way Genshin tells its stories. I feel like they hire amazing voice actors but fail hard to grasp me due to the story direction. Sumeru has been a surprising twist and is probably my favorite region so far lore-wise. But I hold stories to high standards due to growing up with games like Final Fantasy, and just genuinely having enjoyed so many RPGs like Xenoblade, FFXIV, X, and VII that have just done more effective storytelling. I do think Genshin is increasing its efforts to tell a good story though. The archon quest in Sumeru feels a lot less stale than Mondstat, Liyue, and Inazuma. And I'm super excited for the 3.2 Archon quest! But I'm still not a big fan of most of the event stories :( unfortunately, helping Barbara with a fundraiser for a Mondstat festival is not the type of story that gets my attention lol. But that's just my own taste. I know there are lots of people that enjoy that sort of thing and I'm super happy that they get to experience that!
"oh she is catalyst" meanwhile dori is clubbing someone with debate club in background xd
Sumeru music is on a whole nother level. I was way too hyped by it
Ever since I heard it from the story teaser I’m like bro sumeru music is a bop

I’m really hyped for this patch, excited for the archon quest too!

Most Genshin TH-camrs don’t read lore/descriptions of the items in game so of course they don’t know lel
"Did zhongli killed her?" Huh? What?
