@@JollyDogYTas someone who works at Burlington , I can 100 percent tell you that these are not bootleg , we buy all of our stock directly from the manufacturer. They are literally just rejects that don’t pass quality control or have some sort of defect , same with clothing , it’s the reason say a 200 dollar pair of shoes is only 50 bucks at Ross / Burlington etc . There’s some sort of mistake on them to not pass qc
The Sonic figures will go down and Sonic toy history as one of the weirdest things to come out of this line the one thing we can all say for sure is that I need that super silver figure with the fake Chaos Emerald
The real modern Amy is better painted but the legs are still pretty loose but does stand well and the hammer does have paint rub in the brown painted area
dd’s Discounts is owned by Ross, so I doubt that would happen. I have seen some off brand Power Rangers and generic military toys with Chris Redfield plastered on the box at both stores though.
For some reason i have a sonic figure i bought on ross for my birthday but it didn't look bootlegged it looked normal I've never knew they were bootlegs and I've never found the classic amy and metal sonic or vector at ross only sonic
I like to think that theu are rejected because of a slight defect. I have seen jazzwares fuigures there before and some are still selling. Mostly the sonic riders and sonic racing cars
I think they need to redo the real Modern Amy figure (no offense.) It’s just too off like the legs being really separate from eachother and her expression is just creepy. The best Modern Amy figure that isn’t the F4F statue is the Just Toys Intl. buildable Modern Amy. I have it and it looks just like the Sonic Channel art. Though the paint, could have been a little better?
Correction, somebody in the factory put her arms, legs and head on the body backwards. In other words, either the person’s an idiot or is a left-wing lunatic
I went to Ross yesterday and found 2 bootleg Sonics and 1 bootleg Knuckles. However I did find an official Sonic figure there. Some are officiall qnd bootleg
Another thing i noticed about these in stores is that they are not fasened with the clear rubber bands in the packaging like the other figures have, I saw a bunch at Ross and all the silvers amys and knuckles lacked the clear rubber bands that hold them in place., i saw a silver that was packaged backward the other day.
I’ve seen a yoshi figure that feels like it has the same issues as this Amy. The yoshi is a darker green and doesn’t look right. Comparing it to the one I bought from Walmart there is a obvious difference. Idk if I’d say it’s a fake but factory defects does make sense. I have a two pack of the Mario figures aswell that came with Mario and Iggy. Iggy was perfect but the Mario’s eyes are almost crossed and the paint apps looked off. I believe these are mostly all factory defects
These were never high quality to begin with so I expect flaws and inconsistencies between figures like with the Mario you got. I wonder if your Mario is that bad compared to another identical Mario.
@ yk what im actually the perfect person to talk to about this. I have bought both a Mario and Luigi from Ross and GameStop. And in some cases the flaws are more obvious than others. I have multiple Jakks pacific Marios that I’ve gotten from Ross. The one that came with the bowser, the one with Iggy both from Ross are clearly not as good as the one I got from GameStop. Something about the knee joints seemed off and ine of them having a misprinted eye . I also have two Luigi’s from Ross. Both single carded , the first one I bought was from an older wave with Kamek and the more recent superior version is from the Daisy wave. That’s the superior version which is why I truly believe these sonic figures aren’t knock off. There’s just a run of figures with bad QC issues. Same reason the Mario was horrible but the Iggy was perfect. I’ve also bought a hammer bro with two left hands from Ross. I bought a Yoshi figure from Walmart and comparing it to the one I saw at a Ross just looks night and day aswell. The paint is dark green. So this isn’t a problem only with the Sonic line. I also bought the Knuckles and Amy you reviewed here. But I’ve also seen good quality figures like Vector and Modern sonic. It’s a confusing topic but this is just what I can gather from collecting both lines.
To be fair the hammer thing happens with a actual real Amy figure I have a real one and the first time I took her hammer out of her hand some of the paint on the handle came off and onto the inside of her hand
I have a real modern Amy And I can definitely say It’s probably just a factory reject Because on my modern Amy The headband is fully painted she stands up fine and she also has perfect eyes And eyelashes. what do I think? The Ross one is probably just a factory reject
I have had the modern amy figure for a few years now and I can tell you the quality of the one I have is no where NEAR as bad as the one in this video, the only bad thing about the figure I have is that the hammer paint does come off after being in her hand for a while, but besides that, the hands move without issue and the paint job is clean
i found and bought the super silver from this set and i really only got it for the emerald, its clearer than the official one. anyways silvers leg broke but luckily i have the offical👍
I liked the cartoon I watched in the 90s and the toy line. I only just started getting back into action figures in late 2023 though so its like everything is brand new. In short, I like G.I. Joe, but I’m a noob when it comes to the franchise.
these are factory rejects. most likely frankensteined together with parts rejected for different reasons. the arms being painted on some figures is typical of factory reject bootlegs. they oftentimes doctor up the bad parts to make them passable. someone raided a dumpster and made crappy reject figures out of the parts thrown away, most likely. i think these do count as bootlegs still, due to the nature of how they are made
From my year and a half shopping for collectibles there, this is the first time I’ve seen something like this and it also seems like a rare occurrence. With that, I don’t see Ross as untrustworthy. I’ve some insane deals there and will continue to do so.

LMAO.
Nah, she’s just a trans woman.

Which leg? Left, right, or middle?😂
The modern Amy Rose figure looks like it's wearing a diaper. 🤣
Reject molds from factory I don’t believe they sell bootlegs, DDs store would sell bootleg toys

wouldn’t explain how these figs use completely different manufacturing practices
Who cares if their bootleg, their still good enough, and look like they should
In a positive light but I think these would be great for sonic custom and also cheap as well
Definitely! I only touched on that for a second.
They're definitely just factory rejects.
I think so too, but with the quality resembling bootleg stuff I've seen, I don't blame people for thinking the figures are bootleg.
For some reason i have a sonic figure i bought on ross for my birthday but it didn't look bootlegged it looked normal I've never knew they were bootlegs and I've never found the classic amy and metal sonic or vector at ross only sonic
What was the accessory Sonic came with. The one in question from Ross comes with an extra life accessory.

That’s something I glossed over when opening Modern Amy. She didn’t have the bands to secure her in.

Ross has sold bootlegs before, like the tmnt “classics”
Would you elaborate please? I’d like to know more about that.

so I’m hearing recently Ross found out about the bootlegs so they recalled the sonic figures
I saw that as well and I'll likely give my thoughts on it in a followup video.
Glad I can at least use these figures for customizing!
How do you go about customizing them?

When you compared the packing near the start, vector and Amy do have differences they are just at the names of the characters.

While this does look like bootleg, if the print on the packaging quality is on par with the real one, i'll say this is just a factory second
The colors are a slightly different shade, but nothing near over saturation. The dpi/resolution is exactly the same as the “real” ones too.
