The melody is Hora Românească stolen (that’s cool) from Carpathian ROMANIAN songbook. It’s not remotely from traditional Jewish music. Also the dance is a Lubavitcher Polish thing and did not originate in the Middle East. It’s Yiddish, not Hebrew.
