😅😅😅Jur Chol intermarriage with the Jieng has led to mixing of language and culture. I love that.

The collapse of Tekidi in the 16th century set the Luos on the move. The largest group of Rwot Owiny Wuod Pule Koma Rach went north to Mongalla, north of Juba becoming the Dinka Bor. From there in the same century, they followed the Nile to Lake Victoria. Many others entered Uganda separately and with the survivors of Tekidi, the Puranga and Padibe, they were joined by the Paluo from Bunyoro Kitara who had either been expelled by Mukama Olimi Isanza or fled the 1720s drought called Kech Nyamdere.
After the fall of Kowiny Tekidi in the 16th century, another group went south east to Lake Victoria in the 17th century. A Luo society called Luo Ramogi/Lamogi had existed there since 1300 AD, established by the present Alego where there existed a great community in 1250. He died after years in Ligala. That is how Yimbo got its name. East of Ligala settlement.

This language is the closest to Dinka a language can be. It's like the lost brother of Dinka with the linguistic similarity shown. You can actually understand what they're speaking without knowing the words they use.
    Wow.
