@topshelfdustin3060 I've not tried it either, but it seems like it might be good. There's one on the shelf at this store, and if I'm reading the date on the label correctly it's all the way back from 2011 so maybe that would be an opportunity to taste some old bottle effect.
Such a nice dynamic between you two but I would guess it will end in beers. : ) Or a little smoothie to sort your palate out, only messing lads good reviews are hard to find. I'm sure it went down well.
Here in the UK we can still pick up stunning single cask 21-25 year old Imperial bottlings for less so I am struggling to pull the trigger on this one!
I forgot to add i had side-by-side at a tasting with the dalos and ultramarine And the dalos (which was good )was underwhelming compared to the ultra marine, which was one sip I was hooked and immediately i wanted to get a Bottle So, if you like this bottle, ultramarine will blow your mind IMO in the extinct series
I hope you bought the new Clynelish 11 CS single cask from Elixir for $100-ish. Only about 200 bottles for U.S. and who can't complain about the price and you know it's good coming from Elixir at a good price. this is flying under the radar and nobody knew it was released. There is plenty of it around on sites and $100 is the cheapest I have seen it.
After enjoying several Compass Box bottlings I can say they are generally good and well blended whiskies. But the prices never can be justified in my opinion.
They used to be a consistent "winner" at every price. It seems after the stupid ruling about The Spice Tree and the years they spent recovering from that, they're much more expensive and not nearly as good/interesting/experimental with their blends.
@@Tawnos_ I'm not sure about a lack of experimenting or being interesting. I think the biggest issue comes down to simply they can't get access to the same quality casks at the same price anymore. Too many barrel investors competing for product now days.
Sounds amazing gents. What do yall think of the ole Oak Cross bottled at 43%?
I never got around to buying one.

@@prestonw3878 they do seem to still be around, but what fair priced whisky sits for a decade these days? That worries me I suppose.
Great review guys, I think I may skip this one. Have you had the Compass Box Delilah’s XXV by any chance? Wondering if that’s worth a pick up.
If you can get one for the MSRP from what 4 years ago, yeah it was good enough. I always planned to get a backup but never got around to it.
@@topshelfdustin3060 thank you!

WOW, it sounded so good but over 300? I was thinking 150 to 200 because it was Compass Box. For the actual scotch in the bottle = 100 to 150.
It’s a high price that’s why I’m online with 150 to 200. Dustin Lives Compass Box

Sadly I passed, but if a sample makes it our way, we'll try and get up a review. It's getting expensive out here, gotta be selective.
I knew the 40K Compass Box was going to be good. Roboute Guilliman approves.

Looking for one now, thanks! 😉
Sounds interesting. The mix of malts sounds delicious. But IMO, I think CB bottles are overpriced. I would be interested if it was $200. Great review.
Please do the Compass box ultramarine
It will be the Roboute Guilliamn of reviews!
Hey guys, trying to decide between Delos and Ultramarine. I’m a big fan of Hedonism.
Haven't had the ultramarine, but I hear good stuff. I can't say we were huge fans of this one for the money.

Not anymore. They offered value in the beginning
They used to be great prices!
