More about "Need You Tonight"
"Need You Tonight" is a song by the Australian rock band INXS, released as the first single from their 1987 album, Kick, as well as the fourth song on the album. It is the only INXS single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also achieved their highest charting position in the United Kingdom, where the song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart; however, this peak was only reached after a re-release of the single in November 1988. On its first run on the UK charts in October 1987, it stalled at No. 58. It was one of the last songs recorded for the album, yet it would arguably become the band's signature song.
In February 2014, after the Channel 7 screening of the INXS: Never Tear Us Apart mini-series, "Need You Tonight" charted again in Australia via download sales. It peaked at No. 28 on the ARIA Singles Chart. In January 2018, as part of Triple M's "Ozzest 100", the 'most Australian' songs of all time, "Need You Tonight" was ranked number 69.

Lyrics:
Come over here
All you've got is this moment
Twenty-first century's yesterday
You can care all you want
Everybody does, yeah, that's okay
So slide over here and give me a moment
Your moves are so raw, I've got to let you know
I've got to let you know
You're one of my kind
I need you tonight
'Cause I'm not sleepin'
There's somethin' about you, girl
That makes me sweat
How do you feel? I'm lonely
What do you think? Can't think at all
What you gonna do? Gonna live my life
So slide over here and give me a moment
Your moves are so raw, I've got to let you know
I've got to let you know
You're one of my kind
I need you tonight
'Cause I'm not sleepin'
There's somethin' about you, girl
That makes me sweat
So how do you feel? I'm lonely
What do you think? Can't think at all
What you gonna do? Gonna live my life
How do you feel? I'm lonely
What do you think? Can't think at all
What you gonna do? Gonna live my life
So slide over here and give me a moment
Your moves are so raw, I've got to let you know
I've got to let you know
So slide over here and give me a moment
I've got to let you know, I've got to let you know
You're one of my kind

Pocket really isn’t too deep here… tele guy rushing them cool chord riffs.
Not my tempo.
*JK Simmons throwing chairs at your face intensifies*
Yikes. Practice your rhythm guitar chops team. Vocals amazing as per usual.
is just me or the guitar guy on the right is not getting the timing right?
Good song. Timing wasn't right. Rhythm guitar was stepping on it and making it too something.
I thought the same. Rushed a bit. Bass and drummer weren’t really locking into the pocket either. Still a cool cover. Solid effort.
It sounds like me when I try to play a song I've only heard a couple of times. Bet the rhythm guitar wasn't too familiar with it before the session and nobody corrected him.
My favorite singer on this channel. Lead guitar was off-bit?
I think it's more the vocalist coming in too early in places and missing her cues elsewhere than anything the rhythm guitar is doing - likely not as familiar with the song as her mom probably is. She sounds great though.
That snare sounds so so good
INXS... not INSX. That's like misspelling AC/DC.
She had some interesting moments but doesn’t quite hit it for a lot of the song… By the end of the song it’s very flat compared to the original.
el guitarrista con la telecaster no toca bien el ritmo del riff. La cantante es genial y hermosa.
Great vocals!!! Should give credit to that gated reverb on the drums!
The vocais ruined it for me
I love it
Good covers should be unique and this nailed it
Where is the G&L? You folks sell G&L... INXS is known for playing G&L. Nice playing anyways...
очень хорошо сбалансированный звук.. все инструменты сами по себе звучат упорото.. но вместе - кайф. молодцы..
Wow! …just wow!
Thank you!! 🤘🤘
Beautiful song
Bravo!
Great song choice!! Another banger! I look forward to Friday mornings and the CME band!
Thanks for watching!! 🤘🤘
Great job! Can i respectfully offer what I discovered from learning this song? The major 3rd in that first chord makes it sound very folksy, instead of the C major chord up at fret 8, use drop D tuning and try barring across all 6 strings at fret 10 with a D shape played on top at fret 12 but don't hit the highest E string. That's how I believe it's played and it also allows you to do that other little riff later on that gets down to an E flat on the lowest string (1st fret of drop D) . Hope this makes sense.
That was great. Don’t listen to the negative comments here. Some people just want to believe they are able to criticize everyone. I love CME Full Band Fridays. You guys/ gals always rock. ✌🏾❤️🎸🍄
Why? Nobody is being mean - the rhythm guitarist legitimately botched the timing throughout the entire song. Constructive criticism is the launchpad for sustained improvement.
@@JEFFKINGS Shut up with your bullshit. This is not supposed to be a perfect recording. I’m a musician and I am aware of mistakes but music isnt about being perfect. They are having fun and playing a song. You are aware that this is a musical store that sells instruments. They are fun people who like to post videos of their employees and friends just having fun playing songs. It’s not about your “constructive criticism”. I bet you’re the a-hole who goes into a tiny club and criticizes everything that bands do such as mistakes, etc. Well let me just say that it’s an honor to share the planet with someone as perfect as you. To end this I’ll say that I am done with you because you are a waste of time. In closing #StepOff 🖕🏾
