The doctors' job may be to keep me living as long as they can, but my "job" is to enjoy life as long as I can, and the two are not necessarily in agreement. I have learned that I am the boss of my body, and when all is said and done it's MY right to decide whether I want to accept a particular treatment or not. As you can read, I'm still alive...

Yay! There you are! Missed you. I am in total agreement with you on the cholesterol med issue. All of my relatives have had horrible side effects when taking it. Mainly muscle pain. I manage mine with tweaking my diet. Meals on the run when trucking doesn't help, but now that you know, you can fix it. Safe travels!

Hey Larry my wife is an office manager for a doctors office. She tells me that these doctors get a kickback from pharmaceutical companies to prescribe their drugs to patients. So when your prescribed certain meds or meds new to the market, know that your doctor enjoyed a gourmet dinner and some really nice tickets to a sporting event, opera or play just for prescribing you a pill. If you're cholesterol isn't off the charts high you can correct it with a change in diet and a little exercise. Safe travels brother.

He has farmed off and on since he was injured while transporting the County's mowing Tractor from one district to another.) I found that if I eat a bowl of oatmeal a day it helps with my cholesterol, (I use two percent milk on my oatmeal,) there are also some dry cereal's out there that are low in cholesterol. I'm not an expert at lowering cholesterol levels you'll just have to continue doing your research. I got an update on the tornadoes earlier this morning, Oklahoma got it real bad yesterday and this morning as far as I know of there have been no fatalities. God Bless You. Stay safe. Glad to see you back up and running. On the computer troubles when setting up your computers keep only the OS and software programs on the main hard drive. Do not store any data files on the main drive. OS and software need some running room on the main drive - especially Photoshop. Get some USB based/powered portable external drives - small ones like Toshiba,Hitachi, or Western Digital. These are small hand sized drives that run just under $100 and are fairly reliable. I've had only one of these fail in the last 15 years. I have moved them from computer to computer. I would recommend 2TB to 3TB. Larger sizes are available but not all that reliable.Note these drives are NOT the ones that require an external power source. You can also set up Photoshop shunt some of the rendering off on what is called a "scratch disc" which relieves the main hard drive and speeds up processing. These portables work on desktops and laptops. For desktop consider have a solid state drive installed in addition to the main internal drives. These speed up processing depending on what speed processor you have and how much RAM is installed. These portable drives are also great for video editing.

Larry have you got an external hard drive for each computer so when you set up your daily back up for your computer it will go to the hard drive. Or you can set up a cloud account and have it back up to there, backing up to cloud also gives you access from anywhere there is WiFi.

The exact same thing happened to me with a new HP laptop running Windows 10. A windows update crashed the computer. It had to be sent back to HP and when it came back, everything I saved was gone including countless great pictures from my years in the merchant marine. The day I took the computer in to the store where I bought it, the employee told me that I was the 4th customer to come in that day with the same problem with an HP.
If heart issues runs in the family. You can get a Berkley Test done. Everyone in my family, Mom, dad and granddad had heart attacks and died young. I had my first issue 20+ years ago. 7 stints and a heart attack later. New Dr ran that test, and do have to take drugs for it. But its keeping me alive. As far as High numbers, there about as many study's that show High Cholesterol is good . Natures way of cleaning out Plaque. My numbers were normal. Or Dr told me better then a 16 year old. When I started having Blockages. Blood Pressure was 105/60, but I did smoke. Stopped smoking, and eating healthy. All numbers shot up, and Dr could not figure out why? Went back to eating my normal Diet. And numbers went back down.
High cholesterol is mainly genetic. Some people metabolize it better than others. My doctor told me this when telling me how low my cholesterol was and asking me what I eat. I told him I eat all of the bad things. He told me his family had a history of high cholesterol and he was on a vegetarian diet, he was a distance runner and his cholesterol was high. He died two years later at the age of 55.
Photo shop is very resource heavy . It likes a fast computer , lots of memory . No surprise that they sent the computer back wiped. They simply did what’s commonly called a wipe and reload. With a Windows machine that’s par for the course. Store all your files to a external drive. Larry’s back in the saddle.
Alot of people dont like round abouts they work fine if everyone keeps moving. It's better than getting t-boned at an intersection because people wont STOP at a stop sign.

There is nothing wrong with that I do it if I believe in that drug and it will be to my patience benefit.
