Shout-out to the homie Kirk Morrison. We go way back, to Sacred Heart Elementary.
Aiyuk is severely underrated, He was ranked 6th last season in overall receiving stats with the least targets and receptions in the top 25 for receivers, And out of the people above him the closest to his targets and receptions is DJ Moore with 31 more targets, 21 more receptions and only 22 more yards
It’s crazy how he had one great season and now is consider underrated. I want to see two or three and when deebo goes down. Have an insane game and clearly hasn’t? Niners will implode like the Eagles this season. Then Purdy gets 60 million for sure because Kyle needs him more than he needs him. I think the circus is coming to the bay this season…
@@elericrivera2010 he’s underrated because he had a great season and most people don’t seem to even care or know that he did, these dudes said he wouldn’t even be in the top 10 receivers some people say he’s not even WR1 yet I gave you his stats that’s what underrated is, We’ll see what happens if Aiyuk stays wonder what spot he would have been with 40-50 more targets and receptions like the other top wide receivers got
Agree. He was way under-utilized. That's the rub when you have all of those weapons.

Thing about this whole situation is people think the Niners can't pay these players. They very much can, but the reason why they have been so successful for 7 years(Lynch became a GM in 2017) is because they have been wise about the salary cap game. They, just like the Patriots, seem to always been a year ahead vs a year behind. They let Ward go, he's a good safety, but Hufanga and Brown are gonna end up being a better duo. They let Buckner leave, Armstead had been a more than formidable DT replacement. And now Armstead has been moved off from because, well, they see the injury concerns(foot injuries year in and year out), and they know they wiffed on Lance, but instead of cutting him and just losing everything, they gained a 4th rounder from the Cowboys, which they used to draft Malik Mustapha who, based on the report from camp, has been the 2nd best rookie, so far and is looking like an impact player.
People are egging on the Niners for 'fumbling' this whole situation, but lets be honest, there's at least 25 teams in the NFL that wishes this was their worst problem to deal with.
If this offense is going to fall apart without Brandon why would you pay the QB 70 million a year

Aiyuk has spent half his career in Kyle shanahans dog house.
Be aware, the 49ers hold all the cards. They may rewrite the contract, but if no adequate compensation is offered, Aiyuk either plays in SF or not at all, period, full stop!
But they lose games if he doesnt play
If he doesn't play at all, the year won't count and he'd be in the exact same situation, but he will no longer be able to demand that big contract. I think that option isn't really on the table for him.
@@martinezjames83 It's a loaded offense. He's important but they still have Deebo, Kittle and CMC and they'll just use one of their speedsters to take the top off and feed those three guys.

Justin Jefferson, chase, lamb
AJ brown, davante adams, kupp, hill, the sun god, meclaurin, puka, Mike Evans, Godwin, dj Moore, and diggs above him and
Ridley, Wilson, Olave, Calvin Ridley, and Metcalf on his level. Plus the three big rookies any of which could be ahead of him by week 6
BA is top 10 WR!
Because of CMC, teams are stacking the box which creates single coverage…

I don’t get this idea that the 49ers have to pay Brock Purdy. They moved on from Jimmy G 2 years after he went to the Super Bowl. They traded 3 first round picks for Trey Lance and gave him away for nothing. This franchise has proven they’ll make cutthroat decisions at QB, but when it’s Purdy they have to give him a big contract because he’s entitled to it? He’s playing with the most talent around him in the league and he has 6 TDs in 6 playoff games. He needs to play better in the playoffs this year, because it won’t get any easier after they give him a big contract and can’t completely surround him with pro bowl talent anymore.
Purdy and Jimmy are clearly different. Purdy is much better. This is a franchise that hasn’t had a legit QB since Steve Young. So they’re not gonna just let the possible next guy leave. He’s why they moved on from Lance. They have no replacement for Brock
@@udontgotJackPurdy has been average at best in the post season, he threw the MOSTA interceptable passes through the playoffs last season and LUCKILY only one got caught.
@@udontgotJackthey need to be sure he is the guy and not just a “possible” guy if they’re gonna pay him $50+ million a year. Yeah they have no replacement but they can draft someone, sign a free agent, trade for someone. Brock Purdy isn’t the first person to ever figure out how to throw a football, and he won’t be the last, they have options if they have the guts to look at them.
@@elijahteputepu2519yup. He also had more turnover worthy plays than Josh Allen in the regular season. A lot of people tried to say turnover worthy plays weren’t a thing until the Ravens converted 4 of them.

This year will be a got dam letdown… paying BA 30 million will divide players because if this was a class organization, they will sacrifice winning over money any day. These are Me players only… If I’m CMC I demand a trade or I only want 100 touches on the season because a receiver is clearly worth 11 million more than me… Feed him instead and why did the Niners resign Jennings too… Niners are a got dam clown show!!

Alot Pickens catches be 50/50. He don’t create the type of separation Aiyuk does. & if the Steelers themselves felt Pickens was better than Aiyuk they wouldn’t be trying to trade and sign Aiyuk for 30M+
@@jefflee1809 If you are up to date on Niners, CMC has been wanting an extension still last year and what did he do? SHUT UP and dominated one of the best running back seasons in 49er history. CMC is the reason why Niners have been looking so good, he is the x factor on the team. Even Jimmy was playing lights before he got hurt. BA isn't worth that amount though because he had one great season. Is that what niners organization do, pay someone off one good season? Niners can win without him but can't win without CMC. If he goes down and I honestly think 49ers will have a down year. Detroit and Green Bay are hungrier and younger. Plus, both have better quarterbacks.

Aiyuk isn't going anywhere. He was at practice with the 49ers today.
He was being fined for not being there. Not saying he isn't staying where he is but that's not the greatest gauge.

He wasn't being fined. He was in the building the entire time and attending meetings. He just wasn't actually watching the practices on the field. He just started watching from the sidelines this week. People need to get their information correct.

Deebo? I'm not extending Deebo next year if I'm the 49ers. He's going to pull the same stunt BA just pulled (he pulled it first) and demand $30M+, yet he gets injured at least 3-4 games a year. And he will be almost 30 by then alo
First, Pearsall wasn't drafted to replace Aiyuk. The timeline wouldn't make sense for that.
Now, here's the reason this is getting so much attention. It has nothing to do with BA and his ranking as a WR in the league. It's all about the 49ers.
As Rich said several times last season (and other podcasters and youtubers said as well) any 49ers related content gets a lot more attention. You want the views? talk about the 49ers.
You want people to know you have a podcast, even though you were just a failure as a president of a team and no one should care about you, say Brock Purdy isn't even an NFL QB, and all of a sudden people know you have a podcast.
If this was a WR on almost any other team, you wouldn't hear much about it. This isn't because anyone thinks BA is the next Jerry Rice (also, the list of "better" WRs is irrelevant if they're not available to trade/extend right now).
Even the Cowboys WR in a similar situation isn't talked about, because all they do is lose when it matters so who cares?

Aiyuk's career did not take off until Purdy became QB1. He is his favorite target. Deebo and Kittle have had far fewer touches since Purdy came in.

But SF doesn’t want to let him go.. they aren’t going to give him the money he’s asking for, they need to stop trying to talk him down and just trade him to the Steelers, they still got Trent Williams sitting out for money, they need to worry about that instead of trying to talk guys into taking pay cuts cause they paid everyone else already and need to save money for Purdy
