Kingprotea is an absolute beast that snowballs into an even bigger beast as she adorably crushes her enemies. I like okita, she's stylish as hell, but headpatting daughter wins no matter what, imo.
Bar farming anyways. Okita can snap right into her damage when farming, which is a pure plus. That said, i run triple scopes to farm, so I really don't mind the lack of np, on turns one or two.

KP s2 is a big brain skill, it allows you to use KP's atk buff turn 1 and reduce all cooldowns by 1 and since you won't be using s2 for a long time you don't lose anything. KP's s2 is something I usually use when she has lost more than half hp and her s1 is either 1 turn away or currently up, if you have np2 or higher KP you can get her overcharge which can compensate a little for loosing the s1 buster buff but unless u can kill the enemy or must kill the enemy at that very moment you can wait on using it. I think of s2 not as a battery but more of a healing, since KP has no healing resetting S1 when she is at 20k, 18k or less is basically free and safe healing. Okita alter's star gen and gameplay is something I like more than KP's gameplay and to be honest I doubt Okita alter is getting her s3 buffed or any of her skills, she is already good on NA and on Jp she is op, KP is also OP on NA but rn busted on JP, that s2 rank up is ludicrous and if you enjoy using Nightingale or Jeanne KP is actually invincible(unless the enemy has buff removal). Okita is obviously meant to nuke the small 40k to 50k enemies and then kill the last guy with a buster card, her dps isn't bad at all and the fact that she is another Skadi Merlin memer like Kama(in my opinion) makes her not only a gr8 dps but also hard to kill, Skadi Merlin is a disgusting combo and KP can't take advantage of it. Okita and KP are servants that are consistent in CQs, bossfights and farming, in my opinion they have very small flaws which makes sense since not every servant is perfect. Who is better? Honestly no one, they are both the same, KP has more survival, Okita has more crits
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU for always bringing up and addressing REAL comparisons between servants !!! none of the other fgo-tubers actually do this in detail Dx or they assume servants of different stars are in the same category >.> for example they would lump Shiki and Old Man Li together cuz they're both arts, but the REAL comparison should be Shiki vs Kerry vs Chiyome cuz they're all 4 star arts assassins ~
Most if the time some 4 stars are better than 5 stars in certain areas

NP1 protea > NP0 Okita alter.
Okita Alter is actually an amazing DPs, Protea is mostly a turtle tank. Okita Alter is still the best on my book. F The meme... Himiko is the best support for Okita Alter.
Okita is definitely solid, but is one buff away from being really good. As I mentioned, either NP buff with Crit star generation, or Third skill had two hits of evade. And King Protea is a snowball. You have to wait a while for her to be good.
But Okita... that NP is Top Tier 👌
Umm KP is good right from turn 1. If you think that you need to wait on KP then you are playing her wrong.
Turn 1 is almost always a wave with sub 30k hp mobs.

Personally, i prefer quick-buster deck the most if the NP is not Arts, because i think it makes the servant overall more consistent thanks to the improved star generation. Also, i really hate the arts-buster deck, they are SO boring and WAY TOO MANY servants have it
That said, i think that KP is easier to use: she is basically immortal (actually immortal with double merlin, just use the invincible on the very first two turns, then the kingprotea's skill will make the rest), she has good damage and has a full replenish of her NP on demand. The star generation isn't a big deal, especially when running with a double merlin, slap a 2030 on one of them, and with the NPs and the star gen from merlin's second skill, you will never run out of stars
Obviously, all of the above works for Okita too, you can run her with double merlin and you're good to go, but i think that KP's deck benefits more from merlin than okita's because of the easier to perform arts chain. Okita probably works better with a mixed support that can improve both her card types: people like chiron or helena that give a further boost to her first skill
Fun fact is that if i had to choose for an AoE alter ego for a challenge quest, i would go with Okita alter bacause of few tiny tricks she has, like the immediate battery, the star absorption and the np damage boost (quite a rare buff, that scales a lot in challenge quests with all of the other buffs)
I don't care what deck she have I roll for chokita because she is one of the most wanted waifu I want to get
And also if I choose for deck I prefer quick,art deck good star gen for double quick good np gain for double art and also with good skill like quick,art in one skill and Farther np gen & np gain skill,np str ,evade or guts for absolute consistency
With double buster,art good dmg for buster good np gain for art what about Cstar with low quick deck = low Crit chance
For quick,buster good dmg & good star gen what about np gain for faster np
Quick,art good np gen good np gain = even at one buster he/she have high Crit chance in his/her art,quick card = standard DMG on criting and good np looping and producing good star more Crit more higher star drop u will get and much np gain by Crit art
But the true secret on consistency is good skill what ever the deck is the top tier is always based on their skill & np effect & also card counts and np gain & star gen percentage so what ever the card deck is it's all come to that
But we also low standard skill that's why even at low tier base performance they will also still useful if they are absolute EX tier waifu ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
For chokita skill not top tier it's a mid tier skill
But the one put her into usable character is that she is a EX tier beauty waifu material and also enjoyable to use because of her np & skill animation
So I the end it's all depends on top tier waifu/& top tier DPs not on base card & soon art will be getting popular when we get castoria so until she came I will enjoy using my np2 chokita when castoria introduce I will use my Kiara often than my chokita but hey she is still one of my best waifu

I completely agree with giving her star gen on np. With how she's built it almost seems like an oversight that she doesn't have it to me
It does seem really weird that they didn't give it to her, maybe they didn't want her Quick cards to be OMEGA GOD TIER but who cares if they are, release the STAR GEN!!!
Believe or not, I have BOTH of them in my Chaldea! They're really good when I pair them together in a battle team.
Also, the good thing of having both Okita Alter & Kingprotea is that they can do welfare or AoE, each of them can wipe out multiple enemies w/ their own respective NPs.
King Protea hits harder. Her NP charges faster with her arts card too.
I put event command codes on Okita Alter. Crit gen on her quick, 100% star gather on her Arts. She generates her own stars, can recover as high as 57% NP in one turn, and crits like a truck.
King Protea can do the same but needs some form of crit generation. Kinda wish King Protea had a single target NP (her animation would change to eating enemies instead of squishing them. Sakura was hungry in Heaven's Feel.😅)
What coman code did you use?
You can actually get her more than 60% NP on an arts crit alone, Okita alter's NP gen is very good.

Nothing on the Buster right now, looking for crit dame boost. Having at least a second servant with quick cards like an assassin or Lan Ling/Caster Gil will have stars in above 27 without trying unless you do an arts chain.

If we're setting aside the "waifu" factor, I would probably still pick Okita Alter because I usually lean towards Quick over Buster.

I guess King Protea is better at wave clear and Okita Alter is so so at wave clear but also can easily cut down a single boss because of Crits.
Imo, Chokita in farming but KP on everything else. Unless u have super scope and other options to fit KP on a 3 turn farm team, more times than not Chokita is better on that. On everything else tho KP is simply better.
Nah. If you have 1 Kscope, Waver+Skadi+1-2 NP 50% CEs and plugsuit then you can 3 turn farm.

Buster and Quick feel like a weird combo to me. That's just my personal opinion. I have both of then at NP2, but Protea is doing some good work for me this event.
I mean, you make stars (and even NP) with Quicks and crits with Busters.
It's a fun gameplay style for me but Okita Alter needs something else to really bring it out.
It's all depends on the card star gen & np gain percentage and card hit counts the one of the few factor for good character what ever the deck type is the other factor come to skill effect and np effect
For chokita even she is not a top tier as a DPs type she is still usable
Reason EX tier waifu & good np & skill animation so she is still fun to use
And I absolutely gonna use her ✓
I have both and if I can I try to use both on the same team, but for me okita is more crit burst, while protea is more raw damage and surviaval.
I was thinking about getting okita alter but I’m skipping her not because I have king protea but because there are a lot of good servants that I don’t have like Merlin. Also during the anniversary I’ll be going to for the Calvary banner so I still have a slight chance of getting her.

I feel like KP is better on paper but ultimately I feel like Okita kind of works better, at least for me. Both are top tier in my book though.
Kingprotea is straight up better than Okita A. the longer a fight draws out, and she only will grow more ridiculously tough when she gets her S1 Strengthening to face tank *any* NP unaided once she has enough stacks going. Add to the fact that her S3 can effectively have only 1 turn of downtime with timely use of her S2, and that S2 can also get her to easily NP twice in a row (with OVERCHARGE if you have her @ NP2 or higher) AND bring her S1 back online early, and you have one heck of a Alter Ego that does terrifically in spite of her Class doing everything in its power to hamper her. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that her raw ATK Stat is among the highest in the game, only beaten out by the likes of Cu Alter and Jeanne Alter, which in conjunction with her entire kit and passives makes her hit hard enough to almost make you forget about her Class in the first place. About the only faults she has (beyond her Class, debatably) is that her kit is entirely selflish, have no hard defense Skills, and Buff purse is her bane, but all those can easily be planned and avoided, leaving you with a remarkably self sufficient kaiju that's turn everything beneath her into patty pancake puddle.
Okita Alter....well, eventually she'll get a Strengthening that'll give her 20% ATK up on her S2 that would give her the coveted Triple Multiplicative Damage Trio within her kit....but it's only for three hits, which means she can't take advantage of it in a Brave Chain of any kind, let alone consecutive NPs if you can somehow manage to pull THAT off with her. Her S1 is nice for generating Stars and NP with her Buster and Quicks, but it's sort of awkward because you mainly want to use it as a damage steriod rather than use it to generate NP. Which is an issue because her NP is Buster and applies Buster Down after Damage Calc, and therefore you really really want to Buster Brave Chain with her rather than trying to chase her Quicks for subsequent NPing or simple Star Gen. Your hands could line up to allow you to have the best of both worlds with her S1 and NP (Buster Brave Chain one turn, Arts lead Quicks in the following ones), but more likely your going to end up with hands that'll managle such attempts at harmonious accord.
Her S3 is.....well, it's not *bad*, but having a 1 time Evade (3 turns) and 1 Turn NP Damage Steriod tied together is fairly awkward, as you have to face a Damage vs. Survivability trade off similar to the one that Jack has to deal with. That, and with the existence of CEs that give NP Damage/SPecial Damage on par and GREATER than the value that her S3 gives PERMENANTLY, said Skill seems a heck of a lot more shaky for it's brevity and jankinees. Her S2 is actually pretty good, as 30% NP Batteries on AoE NPers allows you to use a MLB Imaginary Element to get to blasting ASAP, and its aforementioned Strengthening further pushes how far her blade beeeeaaaams can stretch. *However*, like the rest of her kit her Battery has a bit of wonkiness to it, as it has a 1 turn Star Absorb Buff tied to it. In regular farming this render that effect almost completely moot unless you deploy her after a Raiko, OG Emiya, Gozen, or any flavor of Quick AoE NP has vomited up a bunch of Stars, and even then you rather just OHKO a wave with NPs than rely on Crits and/or face cards to finish off stragglers in that setting. In challenge quests such S.A. CAN be valuable if timed correctly, but you typically wouldn't want to bring her to those anyway over other excellent AoE dusters or Single Target NP Lads due to her Class and Kit's jank being exasperated in tougher/trickier fights.
Kingprotea can get away in CQs due to her ramping HP gimmick and her S3 general ROBUSTNESS putting on par with the best, and her NP is generally strong enough to not need Brave Chains to carry its 1 turn Buster Steriod to her cards to push for Damage/Bar Breakage if you need to prioritize other Supports Cards/NPs in a given line up. In farming she had a bit more trouble than Okita A. due to her not immediately geting any charge from her S2 until she has built enough stacks with her S1, and that using her S2 weakens her NP due to its interaction with her stacks. It's not a complete roadblock, as you can NP turn 2 with a Kscope or turn 3 with a MLB Imaginary Element and can have supports/Mystic Codes buff her up, but it's a notably drawback none the less that has to be accommodated.
In the end, after all this rambling has been done.....I say that KP is better than O.A. . She has a better NP, a more synergistic KIt and array of Passives to back it and herself up, better overall deck and internals, and simply has more sustain in longer fights once she gets going. Okita Alter by comparison is a flash in a pan brawler that wants to finish fights fast and furiously, but her kit tangles her up every step she takes to a speedy victory, and after her buffs expires she becomes totally middling until they're back online. If you don't have another Alter Ego I suppose you could go after her for collection keeping and versatility reasons, but you'd be better off saving that SQ, QP, and mats for Calvary Class Servants that can do her job a lot better imo.

@@faraspasteur4722 Did you not factor in stupid boss crit damage mechanic? 50K HP can tank full crit combo from most bosses enemy and Kingprotea can just head pat them to dead like how I use her against Kama fight.

King Protea > Okita Alter for me.
1. She is gao, very adorable.
2. Use her with Mash and Merlin, you cannot die.
3. She does looots of damage.
4. Other reasons too probably, but these are main points.
