we met Jack Edwards a couple summers ago. he is such a nice and calm guy outside the area. his energy and enthusiasm during the games are definitely unmatched. he brings the Bruins games alive and makes you feel like you’re in the Garden with everyone else! Jack & Brick may be bias or homers…but they are both professionals who grew up here and grew up rooting for the Bruins. they are true Bruins fans since youth. you can’t blame them for that.
There is no problem being a homer announcer, it is to be expected for the guy doing play by play to show allegiance to the team he works for. But the line should be drawn at announcers who are delusional, and whose commentary, and what actually happened on the ice are two different things. Jack Edwards comes to mind, I don’t know how Bruins fans can stand listening to him. I guess I was spoiled as a Blackhawk fan having Pat Foley and Dale Tallon.

We had Brendan Burke as our commentator for the Utica Comets in the AHL before he joined the Islanders. He is truly one of the best in the business.
