Hi just shared your videos with my Daughter Jemma, she has learning difficulties and learns so much from watching u tube videos like yours. She loves animals and thinks your dog is lovely. She’s been looking at your jewellery and we have just ordered a necklace. Thank you x

Love this new approach, where you skip an intro and go straight into content. I imagine it's less work for you. Please don't feel pressure to limit your video length, I would certainly be happy to see longer videos.

£89 food bill for a month is very good indeed as Highland prices are not cheap. Fuel is VERY expensive indeed around the Highlands and I too found that a really significant expense BUT, you have to offset that with the lack of hotel bills and the fact that getting around Scotland is what you are there to do. There are no other real entertainment expenses as the scenery and walking IS the entertainment. Just a tip for you. If you are ever in any difficulties then call at any fire station. If it is a retained station, i.e. unmanned, then call at a local shop and ask if any of the retained firefighters work locally. We are only too pleased to help anyone out of difficulties, especially a bonny lass such as yourself 😋 (at 70 years of age I still recognise beauty when I see it and you remind me very much of my beautiful wife at that age). Just explain your problem and tell them an old Sub Officer said they would be the best people to help you. We've repaired cars, given medical help, assisted with accomodation and even driven people home too ill to drive. Firefighters are naturally nice guys. 😀. BTW £50 per month for treating yourself is not extravagant.

88pounds a month for food is so reasonable! I live in London now, so everything is more expensive and it is so easy to be tempted by cafes, pubs and restaurants. Looking forward to my vanlife and eating mostly fresh and home cooked meals

Hi Marina, Just stumbled across your channel a few days ago. I have a Campervan and holiday with my wife an two dogs mainly in the North of Scotland. So far we have managed about 50 nights away this year. Anyway I take my hat off to you managing to to what you do on such a small van and a tight budget. I do not think I would have the enthusiasm to give up so many comforts. You have many qualities including resourcefulness, intelligence, confidence and bravery. To go away on your own to be at one with the Earth and the Universe is a wonderful objective. Have you now just about finished in Scotland? There are so many things to see we never get tired of the North and are always finding new wonderful places. Best wishes for your future travels. Kind regards Willie

One of the essential items for van living I haven't heard you mention is a FIRE EXTINGUISHER. Because of your confined living quarters, a fire could wreak havoc in mere minutes if it got out of control in your van, and driving away from it would not be an option. If you don't have one, look for something 'wine bottle' compact like an "AA Fire Extinguisher" (£15-£20) for cars and caravans. Well worth the investment🤞

    Trust me...You did WELL👍🏾
Your total spend for the month is some people's food budget for the month Alone!!! So you did Good! From what you are saying you had a few things that you wouldn't of normally had to account for i.e: new boots, new screen for your laptop etc etc....so to be honest it is actually less than that! So you are Very Frugal!

The ideal for dogs would be raw animal organs (not "the regular dog food"), but then again, one would have to be a millioner to nowadays afford what few decades ago was the only food available, the organic, completely natural food...

It’s funny how people think it’s kind of private to talk about money- on the contrary! There’s nothing strange about it and it was super, super useful, thanks so much!!
Hope to see more videos in different countries to be able to compare! That would be wonderful :)
Also: How do you know, whether you are allowed stay somewhere with the van? Any experiences on van life in Malta anyone? Thanks so much

What will you do in the winter ? Really. Will you take some time off or you will go visit some warmer places. Like Spain i guess, i don't know how winter is in Spain but i imagine is not so cold like where i live, Romania.

£187 for a month for fuel is nothing O.o
We've got a roatrip of Scandinavia next month and we're estimating a fuel cost of about £700 for that month :s

Lost Yogi 1 sec, 10km/L = 25mpg, yeah that's about what our campervan will do. Our route is about 4500-5000km (Copenhagen to Tromso via Norway and back via Sweden's east coast). We're estimating fuel is around 1.60 Euro/Litre, is that about right?

Lost Yogi But we like the £1/10km, much easier to figure it out :)

I think that's a remarkably small amount of money, especially considering it included those miscellaneous items and hugely expensive Highland food. I'd have imagined you having to spend a lot more!

It s seems not expensive... 88,90 pounds of fuel for 1 month! When I fill my tank for my small van (Fiat Scudo) the cost is about 110 euros and I need to refill it about twice a month... and I use another car to go to my job!
