Not true give you better vision! In carrots there is something called carotene and this carotene gives carrots there orange color. In the eye there are 2 sorts of ‘rods’ that make you see, these rods produce the image you see. One of the 2 sorts of these rods makes contrast and detail. the other sort makes color, this is where the carotene comes in, it makes the rods that produce color better, because of that you can see better in the dark if you eat a lot of carrots. Also if you would get a lot of carotene in your body your skin color would start changing to orange. I don’t speak English by the way if I made any mistakes in my explanation. 😅

Anthropologist here!! Chimps and humans have a common ancestor which makes the two of us "sister taxa". This is how I like to explain the evolution part more or less: Species A encounters what is called a "species event". Feel free to google this term. There are many different types of "species events". This event forced species A (which is the shared common ancestor between chimps and humans) to evolve in two evolutionary paths. Evolutionary path 1 led to many different species which eventually led to chimpanzees. Evolutionary path 2 eventually led to humans. So humans and chimps are not directly related but they both share someone who is responsible for their existence.
