I bet you preorder numbers are pretty good which is why they're already confirming online multiplayer which is fantastic. They put in a lot effort into this game and I'm glad to see it make some of the money it deserves
@@SwitchedOn yea this is definitely the game to get for racing fans. It fills a massive hole in switchs game library so I think it'll do well. Now if only we could get a test drive unlimited 1 remake...
Regarding livery editing. You CAN edit liveries in the original online on 360/PS3, changing colours and adding sponsors earned by challenges in career mode. So it could still come, depending if they do a straight port of the original online design.
Excited to play online when it comes. So many good racing games but this one looks the most grounded and realistic. Are you going to make some Asphalt 9 videos?
Hi, does this game has split-screen on switch? (I know Pc and others has) but on switch I cant find any split screen/multiplayer option and I can only connect 1 controller when playing it
Who knows, they seem to be very slow doing this - they've only just launched a beta on iOS/Android of online, so could be looking at months still. Really disappointing.
@@SwitchedOn ive been playing grid 1 on PS3 with power a wired pro controller and it just tap the triggers and works fine for me but I don't know if it will be different in this game
Lets get that update already!!!! The AI in the game are ruthless and just crash into you and that needs to be fixed. Also multiplayer needs to be here already almost a damn month
Yea tricky one.... why not both? lol - nah guess it comes down to if you play handheld more in that case? If you do, I'd go with GRID on Switch, otherwise the new console version looks amazing tbf.
This game looks sooo good but I'm reluctant to buy until they patch in online... Or at least give an indication of when it will be ready... The wait from the delayed release was painful enough, they just about made the summer season. I mean, will we see the update this side of the year or not???
I'm glad online is coming.... not because its a big turn off for me but a game of this quality doesn't deserve to be downgraded in reviews due to the lack of it. Of course, I'm never satisfied... its about time that Codemasters and Feral got their arses in gear and brought a rally game across to the Switch :-)
Ew, 1 gb of memory for res, thats alot, but still sounds worth it. Im gonna download the things needed before i hit the pavements. Gotta get the high res quality right away, thought it was funny when you said "Dive into the race", and you rammed into that pack of formula racecars, you dove in quick, lol. I always love seeing the Switch stand out in the best way. It will be interesting to see how they get this game to take off fast upon launch. But it might come with memory consumptions over time, so it wont be a problem at least.
Yea, I think it may have been that way on iOS initially to save storage/bandwidth for downloading on phones - but then I also heard the PC had this HD patch too...
@@SwitchedOn Ah, thats understandable, at least the Switch will be able to handle performance better vs IOS, some devices couldnt handle the gameplay 100% smooth unless you got a high end device for smooth performance and graphics. At least we can buy the SD cards to be able to download the assets easily for better gameplay, I hope the Online gameplay will be great too when it comes time to play online. I hope they add on other car dlc for stock cars to formula, and hyper cars as well. I also wonder if it costs money to repair lost parts and damage body on vehicles after racing. I love the idea of these cars taking actual damage upon impacts.
Ok great online multiplayer confirmed, as soon as the online patch is released ill buy the game.
Mode7 same here !!
Yay! Won you back round!!
@@SwitchedOn yeah the hi rez patch and online patch confirmed is pretty amazning news to be honest, i would buy day 1 but im mostly an online gamer
Did the online update come?
Brian Coley wow ok I didn’t expect that, took fucking ages almost 1 year, I’ll turn the switch on later but it’s good news
Great vid Paul. Just pre ordered off the back of your vids. These guys making quality ports gives me hope for an online multiplayer FPS remake.
Thanks Chris!!
A port of Battlefield 3 would do well on the Switch unfortunately I don’t think that will happen EA doesn’t want their games on Switch
No its a shame - I'm amazed that we haven't had a top tier FPS yet. Maybe we'll see COD mobile at some point as that looks ace.
If they could ad labo vr (with a headstrap) and toy con 3 vehicle kit support.
That would be pretty cool!!
@Mike UK 1970 not if cockpit view is used. Wouldn't need to split the screen
Its great that the game will have both split screen and online multiplayer.
I bet you preorder numbers are pretty good which is why they're already confirming online multiplayer which is fantastic. They put in a lot effort into this game and I'm glad to see it make some of the money it deserves
Yea, racing is still pretty niche genre, but expecting this to do well!
@@SwitchedOn yea this is definitely the game to get for racing fans. It fills a massive hole in switchs game library so I think it'll do well.

So there’s online multiplayer for this game on switch
Will it have online multiplayer? IDK Paul you tell me! Glad this game series is getting you more channel traction you deserve!!
Can't tell you - SECRET!!!

Yea maybe those things will come with the online update then if they are going to lift it in from the old versions.
I would be fine if they got rid of liveries
Enjoying the Grid content!
Thank you Ollie - plenty more to come!
Excited to play online when it comes. So many good racing games but this one looks the most grounded and realistic. Are you going to make some Asphalt 9 videos?
Absolutely will be - should piggy back nicely off the back of GRID-fever dying down.
SwitchedOn cant wait
Awesome news!! Online will be brilliant 😊👏👏
I know, really is the cherry on top!!
this game remind me gran turismo 4 , tracks are awesome !!!!! it just need better replays .
Yea, replays aren't too bad actually. Should always do the replays at 60fps.
Hi, does this game has split-screen on switch? (I know Pc and others has) but on switch I cant find any split screen/multiplayer option and I can only connect 1 controller when playing it
End no not yet, it's coming in an update along with online.
@@SwitchedOn ok, tks
What about local MP on multiple Switches?
sorry if this has already been answered, but how much hard drive space does this game take up ?
6.8gb for initial download - optional HD pack rumoured to be another 1gb. Other DLC packs are unknown right now.
SwitchedOn - cheers mate ! legend !
No problems!
Any chance online is still coming? I see local and wireless but no online.
Who knows, they seem to be very slow doing this - they've only just launched a beta on iOS/Android of online, so could be looking at months still. Really disappointing.
The analog triggers aren't really needed are they?
It would be better, but it's still very driveable.
@@SwitchedOn in online multiplayer can you turn on traction control or ABS?
@@ghostfreak7761 Its not known yet as the online mode isnt being released until down the line.

Still no drift :,(
Check out latest video!
AWESOME!!!!!
What's your discord link?
Always in my description Matt :)
Thanks! Loving your videos..
Thank you Matt, appreciate that!

sorry If i am a bit late to comment, but...
is Nintendo Switch Online required to Play?
another great vid! I'll be waiting for grid autosport to add the online multiplayer before I buy it. In the mean time I'll be enjoying Asphalt 9
Adam West is asphalt on switch yet?
You can download Asphalt from the switch eshop now but it's not playable til oct 8th
Adam West ah nice! Thanks so much!
Free to Play as well :)
Thanks Adam - Asphalt will be ace too - I love it on iOS.
Pretty torn. This looks fantastic, but the new 2019 remake on other consoles look amazing too (w/ updated cars) ...
Yea tricky one.... why not both? lol - nah guess it comes down to if you play handheld more in that case? If you do, I'd go with GRID on Switch, otherwise the new console version looks amazing tbf.
Would you say this is one of the best looking games on the switch?
100% it is - especially in graphics mode, can look stunning from exterior views and replays are great.
@@SwitchedOn awesome. Outlast 2 is one of the best as well
Ah ok, I've not played that

The less people that buy the game the longer it will take. If you don't want to wait, not supporting it is not the way to go
Its still very much ETA, but I have asked my PR people for an idea of a window - will let you know if I hear.
@@HugoStiglitz88 And this why incomplete live services games are making a killing.

I would imagine so yes, but as yet, unknown!
Still no online multiplayer
