" Clapham Junction "& Vauxhall . Class 455 units. 20/04/2024

I decided to spend a day filming 455 Units In London . These Units date back to the early 80s being built between 1982 and 1985 and soon to be replaced by the Class 701s and Class 377 units whenever that maybe ?? . It was great to finally catch the Heritage blue 455 today after missing it on my previous trip to London. Lots of very helpful staff on Vauxhall and Clapham which made for a good day out.

0:15 I remember these being introduced at Dorking when the EPB/SUB (a few stragglers) and 508s all went. The beginning of the faceless suburban trains sadly, but it was very exciting at the time!! 😂 but we went from a mixture of 4EPB, 4SUB, and possible 4VEP and occasional 4CIG. To these. 🙌🏼 they actually sound a lot like VEPs

I had a friend with me Mike so was a bit restricted to just these two locations or you know me I would have tried a lot more footbridges etc . Next time I will travel on a week day so I can include some freight trains or at least that's the plan . Thanks for watching Mike.
