Not sure if you ended up getting the body panel but HIGHLY recommend. It adds additional padding and structure with weight that is totally not noticeable. I swap mine between my Ardennes holiday and commuter and it isn't an issue. Traveled across the country with the panel in the holiday pack recently
@@mikeydailycarry Actually, I have few older version of Vertx packs, but didn't got the older Gumat version. So, I am looking forward to it. The main compartment should better than the old Checkpoint version, in the way of putting things in the bottom.

Hi there! The bag is water resistant. Proof means water would not penetrate the zippers and get inside if submerged in water. That’s not the case for this bag. Water will come right off in rain. Hope this helps
I JUST got my black ember shadow 26 and I'm looking back at my old EDC pack which was a gamut 2.0 but I am thinking about going to a gamut 3.0. The black ember is pretty lightweight with cool compartments but I really liked my 2.0
It’s definitely not noticeable when it’s on your person. More so when you’re just trying to compare it to other bags. At the end of the day it’s all personal preference and what you feel rucking around 🤙🏾
