It's a really remarkable display. The scary thing is, there are actually quite a few other liveries that have been done to - Including the likes of Intercity Executive and Swallow, Grand Central and Network Rail.
my god they are beautiful, what a collection! just a few more to go and youll have every livery of the train. one day I would love to have a collection like yours
Yes as I grew up with the Intercity 125,I do love the East midlands and East coast best, the worst livery is the Virgin east coast and GWR green livery and Midland mainline blue and grey.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 Yeah 👍 - I was looking out for it when you zoomed out towards the bottom shot! - I wont envy you putting them all back in the box though 🤣🤣 that must be the most tedious action ever! - Do you have a Layout or it's for static display only? - I'm looking to create a high speed layout with generous curves as much as I can plus banked rails where necessary in the loft extension - I watch quite a few layouts dont like to see Trains running quickly around such tight curvature on a layout; All respects to the modelers and you have to make do with the space you have understandably, but I need my layout to be as authentic as possible with the fleets I've acquired over the year's! 👍👍
@@teebo4041 Yes they are all boxed up and it was a night mare to box them all up and I am building a layout and I will have large sweeping curves based on a high speed layout and I much prefer concrete sleeper track as most people seem to prefer wooden sleepers.my layout size will be 14ft by 12 ft so its big enough.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 Sounds Great - Cant wait for the video uploads when its finished - I'm going to attempt flexi track curves wider that 4th or what would be considered 5th radius on the outside lines and the inner lines I'll do with 4th radius as the tightest curve for incredibly smooth operation and running - also It will make platform curving easier I think 👍👍👍
Have you gone for the Hornby Platinum Jubilee Edition for part of your East Coast Theme? Biggest Gap really is the lack of Intercity Swallow, and while I like Virgin, Great Western, GNER etc., Intercity Swallow is arguably the finest livery the HST ever carried.
The Intercity Executive is nice model and nearly sold out. I don't think they made many. The Grand Central livery is very striking, but on the old Lima Tool with motor upgrade, but totally wrong without the buffers on the front.
Where did you get the crosscountry one from? Always been dreaming of a loco like that, my dad works for crosscountry and drives the HST & voyagers and something that I would love to run on my layout if I try and find one.
Prob about 10k with today's prices. But I'd say cost a lot more to replace. Fantastic collection. A few there I'd like to have that I let get away. Harry patch being one.
Yes i would like to have the Executive and Grand Central,I hope Hornby do future releases.i don,t like the Scotrail livery so I will give it a miss same as the Swallow livery witch was rubbish too. There was Fag packet,Barbie doll and Merlin on the GWR witch again not bothered about not having.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 No, I actually mean in real life when they ran in these colours. They're the top six rows here, all ECML i.e. GNER & LNER. Suppose there were. I'd love to see the layout that goes with these and if he really has bothered to model the station platforms to fit them.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 We can but dream! Or we can marvel over all original layouts such as Oscar Paisley's. Somehow he has managed to create the dream layout of every child of the eighties into Hornby, long platforms, elevated sections, working tipper and all in such good condition.

absolute beauty’s, especially the East Midlands and GNER. :)

Yes I,ve seen your channel before.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 nice that l get seen 😀 soo need to find the time to upload anything of late, let alone an update to my HST collection
@Yorkshire Junction Yes they do look amazing when all displayed like this.it took me ages to unbox them all.

Amazing Setup Of My Favourite Train I Wish I Had Enough Money To Have All Those Liveris
Very nice GNER was my fav
A bit too dark for my likiing but looks good in the gold branding,I remember my first ride on a GNER HST from Newcastle to York.
I'm no fan of OO but this is impressive really like the GWR sets and the way you've chosen to display them is briiliant.
Very impressive M8 !!
So sad all that they are now history.
Oh wow 😍
Nice video you done.
Superb quality 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hard to pick a favourite. Obviously the Intercity 125 would take the crown, but anything after is very tricky. The East Coast is quite smart.
Yes as I grew up with the Intercity 125,I do love the East midlands and East coast best, the worst livery is the Virgin east coast and GWR green livery and Midland mainline blue and grey.
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
To misquote Indianna Jones "Those trains shouldn't be in a museum they belong on a layout!" Fab collection BTW!
They are in the attic not a museum and I,m building a layout and you will see them running.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 Look forward to that! They're going to look ace!
Still some HST missing here but still a great collection.
That is a masterpiece! - How about Grand central 6 car Class 43 Hst? 👍

@@teebo4041 Just going through he comments,I have now two Grand Central HST sets with six coaches and the Executive livery.

Nice, you need to get hold of the Scot Rail version
I,m happy what I have here.

I got the Cross countrys from Preston model centre,Its gone now but I think you can still get Cross country on Ebay.
The original livery is still the best. Some of the later ones look like cartoon characters.
I have just got the Executive livery and its the best livery ever on the 125.
Looks good, do you have a blind on that Velux? Do get UV damage.
No they are all boxed up now, protect from sun light and dust.
How Much is all of that Worth?? Absolutely beautiful!
Worked it out almost two grand.
I reckon more like £8k 😮. Gorgeous collection though!

How do you afford that 😮
Not smoking and going round pubs drinking and work hard.
How much did this cost. Bet it must be over £3000
Do you run them often?
Have done,I,m rebuilding my layout
“I just think they’re neat”
do u have line of freight trains like this
I don,t have much freight yet,I did a line up of the hitachis.
Were there niners?
You mean the GWR Hitachis.

A lot of layouts don,t have the space to build a platform long enough for a nine coach HST.@@JP_TaVeryMuch

Yes, British Rail Engineering did a fantastic job on the HST which is not the case nowadays. All thanks to politics.
