Sweep Frequency Response Analysis with FRANEO 800

- Frequency Response Analysis allows the integrity of the active part of a power transformer to be verified without opening it. FRA is the most sensitive method for detecting winding deformation. This method can also reveal short circuits between turns, strands or windings, or open circuits. This method can also identify core faults including mechanical deformation, floating core ground, or shorted core laminates. Tap changer problems, such as bad contacts in the tap selector or the diverter switch, can also be found. OMICRON’s FRANEO 800 is the right choice for reliable FRA measurements on power transformers - for manufacturers, operators and service providers.

Very good. Thanks 🙏
Thank you for video It’s very helpful 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Dear sir,
Can we identify the fault without comparing graph with factory test graph.
Dear pawan kumar,
thanks a lot for your interest in our videos. Regarding your question: It is a bit harder to identify the fault, but it is possible. If no FAT result is available you could either compare the results to a measurement with a sister transformer or if no sister transformer is available you can compare the phases with each other. In general it is not even necessary to make a comparison at all, because obvious things as a broken core or a short circuit on the windings can be seen by just looking at the SFRA curve itself.
