Any time you cut into a zipper tape it will shred. If you cut into it, take a cigarette lighter and burn the edges of the cut zipper sections . Most are nylon and the flame will melt the edges and seal them. Be careful.
It looks like you use 3 types of cork/leather. Is that for looks/design or is there a reason? Do you find the cork works better as a liner? I peeked at your Etsy shop. Is this the largest purse svg you offer? I really liked your video. You really show how straight forward the assembly is!!! Thanks for the candle reminder!!!
@Grace the cork is purely design decision. The white cork is German, thick and very sturdy. The dark brown is Chinese and very thin, like copy paper. I found out it works great for lining as it doesn't add bulk and at the same time holds really well with the hot glue I used.
@@ricknlisalawrence4530 The thick cork fabric is Rayher cork bought from Amazon, the thin cork used for lining is from AliExpress and the faux leather Amazon again.
I use Dremel glue gun and sticks, but this is because it goes fast and enables me to show the process within few minutes. I have an overview of different glues I've tried here cutcutecrafts.com/what-type-of-glue-for-faux-leather-hair-bows/ If you are making something you expect to last for a long time in use, then it is best to stitch it or use a strong shoe glue. It slows the making though :)

@@MILLYNWILL thank you :) Apparently there are long prone snaps and regular prone snaps. When I ordered mine some years ago I didn't know there are two types, but seems they sent the long prone. So for thicker leather projects you need the long prone. Or use metal snaps.

which snap kit did you use?
It's a Prym / Dritz snap setter pliers and metal buttons, but KAM snaps will work too.

That isn’t going to last using hot glue! Just sew it!
Sewing is always better :) Not everyone ca though.
