I haven’t finished the video quite yet, but I’d like to recommend a Fawful build. He and the Mario and Luigi series haven’t gotten enough love lately, so I’d love to see him one day in D&D.
Great video. This build would really benefit from the use of Spell Points over Spell Slots. The additional flexibility is much more in line with the character.

I have to admit , this was one of the better out of the box thinking character builds, I liked it a lot. Green Lantern is one of my favorite characters in comics. Now, time to do Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1984 Conan the Barbarian movie version. 😉
I feel like when you said "It can get scary if you take too much damage" it should have cut to that scene from the cartoon movie where Green Lantern gets swatted to the ground and a bunch of guys swarm around him and punch him repeatedly.
An argument could be made for divine soul sorcerer instead of cleric for a heavier focus on elemental damage variety and meta magic to bolster your casting.
Honestly thought you were going to go Paladin on this build as it would give him some armour but also give him a little bit of spells that would have worked with his Charisma. Loved it and is one of my favourites next to your Daredevil build. You just simply get me bro!
GL may be my favorite hero, and this is one of my favorite builds. The sheer number of no-concentration spells is really useful after so, SO many concentration-dependent caster builds. Also, hadn't realized the benefit of Light Cleric here. Also, this could be an interesting Azorius Senate backgrounder... hmm... too bad its colors are blue and white.
As a comic buff, I am so happy Mysterio is winning in the poll. I can't wait to see the Master of Illusions brought to life, even if he'll invariably be a Spellcaster of some sort to get those illusory effects in, assuming Tulok doesn't pull a sneaky somehow.
I'm not a huge superhero person so i don't know much about Green Lantern, but his powers seem really cool. I like the idea of being able to create whatever you want.
This was I think the first poll in which all three choices seemed like they'd make really interesting builds. I usually know as soon as I see the choices who I'll vote for, but this time I really had to give it some thought. I went with Lizard because that would mean using Lizardfolk as a race and I think that would be pretty cool to see, but it's pretty obvious Mysterio is going to be the winner. But even with that, I'm happy.
Ironic that this video uses Warlock for so much of it’s build, I was kinda figuring out Cuphead yesterday and decided that he too would be some kind of Warlock power build. Another great vid Tulok, thank you for your hard work! :)
It's worth noting that Green Lanterns aren't just floating armories, but also any tools they could need. Being able to conjure a ladder can come in handy.
Great video. If anyone doesn't like how you do things. Let's see them make a channel like this and do better. Not gonna happen. Keep up the awesome work
*The Green Lantern* A Protector Aasimar cleric (with levels in warlock) able to create objects out of solid light, which he uses to great effect when fighting. Levels - Cleric: 15 Warlock: 5
Awesome build like always friend! I know your list is long but could you add the Knight from Hollow Knight to it? A build involving some hex blade warlock would be my initial guess but I would be interested on your take of it
Tulok the Barbrarian I just started it yesterday due to a sequel announcement for it and have been having a blast with it so far. I do recommend checking it out if you get the chance.
I could see either an oath of the crown paladin and devine soul sorcerer or if UA is allowed a kensei monk and the twilight cleric. Either way you get a good mix of sword and spells at your disposal
Okay, here's a tricky one for you: Percy Jackson, of the Percy Jackson book series. Percy's not got anything too crazy, not compared to some of the stuff you've done before at least. Good sword skills, quick reflexes, etc. There's one or two odd things to note however. First off: Languages. Percy can talk to all sea life, because Poseidon is the god of the seas. He can also talk to horses, because Poseidon made horses. Then there's the hydrokinesis. Percy can control water. Being in it empowers him, makes him stronger. He can also use it to attack people. He does a few other impressive feats, shaking the ground (one of Poseidon's titles is "Earth Shaker" after all) for example. I think this would build off of Fighter somehow, not sure of the subclass, to give Percy his sword skills.
@@alexlohrke488 Hmm. Well, after thinking it over, I think Water Genasi would be the best. Maybe go a combination of Eldritch Knight Fighter and Lurker in the Deep Warlock for all the magical abilities you need while keeping swordskills? Multiclassing's not really something I'm good at, and I've not read Warlock stuff that recently, so maybe there's a better way to do it?
Reasons Divine Soul Sorcerer fits more than Light Cleric if you're like me and wonder if you can do that and stay in character: -Favored By The Gods could mean Guardians or your Willpower -Empowered Healing to make sure you, the Corps or the League stay alive since the spells would be relatively the same here -Pick Good Divine Magic and pick Magic Missile since Divine Magic give you Cure Wounds for free -Turn/Destroy Undead isn't as in character -Otherworldly Wings is a permanent flying speed and you can get the spell Crown of Stars to replace Fly once that happens. And the wings themselves are just flavor to the flight -Like he said, you could bump the Constitution with the ASI points
A bunch of cool build lately. Although, I do miss the variations... or alternatives... or whatever that section was called from that one video. That was a cool addition, and I'd like to see it make a comeback.
Rick is Flat out Chaotic Evil, he loosely cares for Morty and even that is often shown to be for selfish reasons. Love the show and I'd say Rick is an excellent protagonist but he is refreshingly straightforward in his awful and downright evil ways.
speaking of which, does anybody know if Rick and Morty are actual npc's in the D&D vs Rick and Morty adventure? I haven't read it, seems like an expensive buy just to answer that 1 question
noneofyourbusiness in the comic they are playing dnd until a point where they basically become the PCs they built. Those characters are transferred into the starter set, with a few tweaks.
@@subduedpotato7216 Morty has his own premade rogue character that comes with the game. Summer, Jerry, Beth, and two other Characters have premade sheets. I don't remember if Rick had a character or if the DM is supposed to be Rick in the module. Hello Tulok, I really enjoy your videos, it really sparks my imagination when I think of these builds applied to random original npc characters I write for DnD campaigns. I just really want to say that I hope you come back around to Samurai Jack for a video. That would be incredible, even more so if you chose some of the other characters from that show. If you read this comment, thank you for your time and I wish you luck on your future endeavors.
All those anti-undead abilities made me think: "The Blackest Night falls from the skies..." Take out the Black Lantern Corps and Nekron with radiant light!
I think you should have added the improved pact weapon invocation so you can effectively conjure 2handed weapons as well as ranged weapons. Love this build!
Green Lantern looks like such a fun character, esp in a space-theme setting! this actually got me thinking of a more opposite, boots to the grounds character concept - any chance you might do a build video for Liam Neeson one of these days? no magic, no fancy rings, just guts and wits and a certain set of skills :)

You know, I was really expecting conjuration wizard with paladin/fighter levels to get both fighter-y but also have constructs. Your take on it is interesting and unexpected
Green Lantern the movie wasn't actually bad, though it didn't need that intro. How Hal and the guy Paralax possessed mirrored each other was really good. So was Hal being compassionate.
I don't assume you're an avid player of WotC's other popular game, Magic the Gathering, but a character build for one of the planeswalkers (preferably Jace) could be very cool. :)
Episode 128 of the Fire Emblem stats: Green Lantern. Green Lanterns can make any weapon out of their rings, so they have strengths in everything except for riding, since cars are much slower than flight. Their stats will depend on the person but their magic will be high at the cost of low resistance.

I love Zoro, but that's easy, just get a fighter, get duel wielding, hold a sword in your mouth, and get two extra attacks when you level!
I like it when you manage to get something where the class's theme fits the character perfectly. Hexblade is exactly what the green lanterns are.
Awesome! I've been waiting on this build for ages, thank you so much dude, you're a legend!
When are we gonna see how to play as tulok?
High Dex and high Cha. You're good at snappy jokes and you can fire them off practically at lightspeed.
@@robertlombardo8437 I can tell you have high int and wis to notice that
Barbarian + Sage Background = Barbrarian?
Be a DM
thank you tulok
Oh yeah, good job on the build too, but seriously, Mysterio in D&D!
I'm not a huge superhero person so i don't know much about Green Lantern, but his powers seem really cool. I like the idea of being able to create whatever you want.
Love your videos. I like that your characters aren't power gaming oriented. I hope to see Green Goblin next week.
YES!! Been waiting for this one! Thanks man!
I was really thinking conjuration wizard. This caught me totally off guard :p.
This build gives me some cool ideas. Thanks Tulok!
Awesome as always! I love superheroes that translate well to end.
Now I just need some Gambit!
You've got great taste when it comes to superheroes! 👍
It's worth noting that Green Lanterns aren't just floating armories, but also any tools they could need. Being able to conjure a ladder can come in handy.
Great video. If anyone doesn't like how you do things. Let's see them make a channel like this and do better. Not gonna happen. Keep up the awesome work
*The Green Lantern*
A Protector Aasimar cleric (with levels in warlock) able to create objects out of solid light, which he uses to great effect when fighting.
Levels -
Cleric: 15
Warlock: 5
Green lantern might be a bright hero, but the light of my life is Anderson Cooper. He really deserves a build in DnD. Why don't you make one for him?
Because I want you to live in darkness
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 TIL: Tulok is a Sinestro Corps member. It all makes sense now.
PirateGhost sinestro, the most humble lantern
Awesome build like always friend! I know your list is long but could you add the Knight from Hollow Knight to it? A build involving some hex blade warlock would be my initial guess but I would be interested on your take of it
Havent played it. Sorry. 😥
I know this is late but Percy being a water genasi would make sense as a race, being son of the sea god and all. Plus it gives you Shape Water
If not for the hexblade stuff I would guess celestial. Or just pure cleric
Dude your work is awesome! Keep the hard work!
And also do more Final Fantasy builds! (Terra, Firion or Bartz) ❤
Not gonna lie I really want to play this. It's so much better than my idea I thought maybe an abjuration wizard.
No Bigby spells? That's a tragedy, giant hands crafted out of force seems very in theme. Love your stuff!
Reasons Divine Soul Sorcerer fits more than Light Cleric if you're like me and wonder if you can do that and stay in character:
-Favored By The Gods could mean Guardians or your Willpower
-Empowered Healing to make sure you, the Corps or the League stay alive since the spells would be relatively the same here
-Pick Good Divine Magic and pick Magic Missile since Divine Magic give you Cure Wounds for free
-Turn/Destroy Undead isn't as in character
-Otherworldly Wings is a permanent flying speed and you can get the spell Crown of Stars to replace Fly once that happens. And the wings themselves are just flavor to the flight
-Like he said, you could bump the Constitution with the ASI points
On top of this, the other lantern colors are pretty similar to the Green, and I can explain why later
A bunch of cool build lately. Although, I do miss the variations... or alternatives... or whatever that section was called from that one video. That was a cool addition, and I'd like to see it make a comeback.
Rick from Rick and Morty please?
- Interdimensional Artificer
- High intelligence
- Chaotic neutral
I gave it to my cousin as a Christmas gift but we haven't had a chance to play it yet, I did go over the basic rules with him in case he wanted to play without anyone who knows the game.
@@michaelokeefe9371 thanks for that
I'd like to see you tackle the King of Games, Yugi Moto
Nathan Fillion has always been my dream casting for Hal Jordan (he at least voices him in a bunch of the animated.movies!) But you have opened my eyes to the possibilities of Brendan Fraser as Kyle Rayner...
Damn, now I really want a Sinestro build! If Undead pact ever becomes official it would be perfect for him
i now need to see all of the other ring paths built. this would be interesting
in 4e, Will is tied to WIS or INT (whichever is Higher), so WIS as Prime Stat is a excellent choice here.
same with CHA for Yellow Lantern.
I won't lie, GL was my first thought when I heard of Hexblades.
btw. 0:35
In blackest day, in brightest night,
beware your fears made into light.
May those who try to stop what's right,
burn like his power, Sinestro's might.
Wrong Corps. 😄
Its finally here! Yassss
I've been waiting for this one!!
Gran from Granblue Fantasy build please
Goals:
1.shortsword
2.Primal Beast
3.Leadership
Hello Tulok, I really enjoy your videos, it really sparks my imagination when I think of these builds applied to random original npc characters I write for DnD campaigns. I just really want to say that I hope you come back around to Samurai Jack for a video. That would be incredible, even more so if you chose some of the other characters from that show. If you read this comment, thank you for your time and I wish you luck on your future endeavors.
What I think was best about this build was to be faithful to the character, you can play literally any race in existence
I think bigby's hand would look great on a green lantern, a big magical hand that mimics your own, something that most ring-lantern bearers use.
Hexblade does make sense because all the GLs get their powers from a magic artifact, and Hexblade is the magical artifact patron, effectively.
06:47 I'm imagining Hal creating a construct of Ollie and slapping someone with it
"On the way though, I took the helix fossil. I knew if I didn't say what I took you'd all ask. Actually know that I think about it, everyone ask anyway. Comments are good for the youtube algorithm." - Mah-Dry-Bread
Eyy, I remember asking about this months ago!
I really like all the different lanterns. My favorite is white and blue. I like Kyle Reiner
You ever play darkest dungeon? You should build a few of the characters. That would be awesome
I played as a Green Lantern once. Warlock 2 for Pact of Blade, then War Magic Wizard 18.
You know, I was really expecting conjuration wizard with paladin/fighter levels to get both fighter-y but also have constructs. Your take on it is interesting and unexpected
Conjugation focuses more on summoning actual creatures rather than body parts or weapons
WOOHOO!!! I thought a celestial warlock would be good but a hexblade warlock works too
Green Lantern the movie wasn't actually bad, though it didn't need that intro. How Hal and the guy Paralax possessed mirrored each other was really good. So was Hal being compassionate.
You're very good at placing stats
For those who are ok with it, the UA class 'Mystic' has some great options for a Green Lantern.
I don't assume you're an avid player of WotC's other popular game, Magic the Gathering, but a character build for one of the planeswalkers (preferably Jace) could be very cool. :)
Bro GL is one of my favorite heroes! Hell yeah! Please do The Flash some time!
Surprise he did check his uploads on his channel hes got most of the justice league now. I've been waiting for this one
What I came to this video looking for: Green Lantern build
What I left with: an intense desire to see Brendan Fraser in a Green Lantern movie
Then I did my job
Episode 128 of the Fire Emblem stats: Green Lantern.
Green Lanterns can make any weapon out of their rings, so they have strengths in everything except for riding, since cars are much slower than flight.
Their stats will depend on the person but their magic will be high at the cost of low resistance.
My roommate wants to see Predator done. That would be awesome.
