I remember first hearing this when i was like 7 years old *born in 98* and i started with melee first fighting game taste and i was like i want more i played mortal kombat deeeception i think it was and i was like…this is cool but its missing something so my uncle had this and i was so curious about it i borrowed it started it up watched the intro and was already invested cause i knew NOTHING about street fighter or king of fighters so ps2 controller in hand did 3 on 3 then was greeted to the groove and character selection just talking with hype music playing just Mouth Agap like This is what i was looking for and just remember this being my first fighting game and i’m so excited for the capcom collection to relieve those memories of nostalgia and G-G-G-Getting it on

After the announcement of Terry joins Smash Ultimate, I came back to this video. I hope Sakurai add this character select theme. If they updated announcer's dialogue for Smash Ultimate version, that's even better.

When i was young i used to prefer the regular character select theme for this game, but now i prefer the groove select one. You can feel the concentration and pressure with this one.

There is a "Player Select Version 1" and a "Player Select Version 2" (they are just the same song but with different stuff said by the VO, I spliced them together in this vid) but as far as I know there is no version that combines them two. I'll have one up for you in 24 hours.
