Why in the world am I picturing auditions for America's Got Talent being held in Bikini Bottom (around 2006 or so) and after this song, a certain judge saying to SpongeBob and Patrick, "Don't I know you guys?
Heard this live back when they played at the Goo Lagoon for their second tour. Absolutely amazing, every single one of them was SO talented, it's a shame they split up because of what happened between Krabs and Plankton, I can't believe he was stealing Krabs' songs like that, they seemed such good friends when I saw them.
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when The Formuler came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. They've been compared to Boys Who Cry, but I think BikiniBottom Boys have a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
It was before my time but my parents played it my whole childhood so i grew up with this song. Its a shame most of my generation doesn't appreciate it.
Thanks for the laugh! This is good, but hillarious! Also, I like how Patrick cut plankton off at one point. Squidward and Mr Krabs were killing it! When they all sing together, it sounds kinda creepy. Sounds kinda robotic, like they're zombies....and disturbs me abit. But, this is still well done. That's not your fault. Thats just how ai is.
