Glad to know Looney Tunes went from being a kid's cartoon to being MeatCanyon.

Looney tunes a kids cartoon? I mean back then they were doing the exact same stuff only this time they're trying to do even more violent and gross stuff than before. Besides kids shows back then weren't entirely meant for children and it's pretty obvious. ( well atleast during the 30s and 60s) Anyways I'm just saying this show hasn't changed anything, it just up the mayhem.
@@justanotherinternetwiseguy8018 I mean I get kids shows back then were much more.... mature in content to an extent. To be fair, lots of shows back then had a presence of alcohol, war, etc. That being said, from a visual point of view, I don't think Looney Toons overall was quite as disturbing visually as this.

Elmer has already had his gun back in the newer episodes
@@zenmaster8826 , Elmer Fudd has always had his iconic hunting rifle, and if you’re going to remove that key aspect out of his character then you might as well as change the accents of the characters with Southern accents that aren’t Elmer Fudd too.
They don't allow guns? Since when? I remember multiple instances were guns were used. Road Runner is ful of guns, Yosemite Sam is a gunslinger, Elmer Fudd uses one regulary, Bugs definitely got shot more than once, Daffy too if he didn't use them, Speedy Gonzales once "fought" some cats that were basically the cartel.
Let's not forget that WB also made Bugs Bunny a struggling rapist canon
Gun stuff falls under the umbrella of Potential Imitation by kids (rather than the fact its just violent, hence "rocket launcher is ok, a revolver isnt") which is typically a network bugbear rather than specifically WB's.
However, WB animation has usually been willing to work with network demands (rather than be outright censored)... while also flagrantly playing with such rules to the LETTER rather than the SPIRIT and getting away with as much ELSE as they can.

This is brutal explain how in the early loneytoons being hit with a frypan is considered wrong/bad but in this loneytoons bugs can get all his limbs broken? Older cartoons everything was allowed sure but writing wasnt overtly graphic and dirtier jokes were sublte and the allowed things ex. guns were used in normal/ comic ways this is just nonsensically graphic/creepy.
These clips, animation, and context-wise, remind me of the grotesque portion of 90s Ren & Stimpy. Disney's modern Mickey Mouse cartoons do the same, including the artsyle.
In my opinion, it's not funny, just grotesque. It's in stark contrast to the original Looney Tunes, which are more comical in violence, and gross humor.
However, to each their own preference.
It's true this modern iteration takes thing to a next level, in that physical regard. But everything it's represented just right trans-cosplay jokes, the tame silly puns. Characters and voice actors are just like they used too. It's perfect.
Also, it’s pure chaos, and I love it!!!!

No guns is just a zero tolerance rule they have to follow. So they probably decided to push the other rules to the limits.
You can not tell me otherwise that this doesn’t give off Ren and Stimpy vibes

So I got curious and started watching the first season, these are insanely good. I've always been creeped out by the laugh that Daffy does. He did it a lot when he first was aired (old old episodes) and later stopped, but I guess they added it back to these newer shows
It had to do with his personality change. @@analyticalhabitrails9857 Yes that’s what I really meant.
There’s an another reason why modern Looney Tunes was unapologetically brutal. It could be because kids today were desensitized by over the top violence such as they’ve been watching people playing Poppy Playtime and Friday Night Funkin. Which these games can have some dark and violent moments.
any further into madness and this would be papa meatcanyon levels of creepy
0:03 now THAT is a horror scene
You know after all the violence Daffy has endured over the years, its cathartic to see Bugs get so brutally beaten up. Also love how this show brought back the classic screwball Daffy Duck and even liked that he turned out to be a decent tailor (the tomato soup gag was a nice touch). Though I should complain about Sylvester getting destroyed by Tweety, it really does show what a little sadist that bird really is!
It is however ironic that they won't let Elmer have a gun, but I guess that's due in part to real world gun violence being too touchy a subject and not wanting to be used as scapegoat for those that commit gun violence. Though these clips kinda prove that there are plenty of methods more brutal and violent than guns (and the Daffy as a tailor clip really shows that you can really fool your audience to make a scene seem more violent than it actually is for comic effect). Its nice to see their able to pay homage to the Looney Tunes of the past while also updating it for a modern audience!
The first scene of this video was harder than any "real world violence" a shotgun could bring
It’s falling in line with how the parent companies want to align culturally to reinforce a oft-repeated corporate backed opinion. Back then, Looney Tunes had its share of political war cartoons for the same reasons of being in good graces with the political class’ preferences, for the purposes of distribution and staying on air. This really is no different to bending towards political narratives of the day now. It’s not having sensibilities to public opinion, since seeking entertainment makes conflating fantasy with reality a moot point. Case in point as an example are how violent video games have no correlation with violent crime statistics-yet that’s always a repeated lie. Other studios in other countries wouldn’t really see this type of advocacy for censoring or retconning take place.
I’m sure the children are smart enough not to play with real guns. They’ve been playing with Nerf toys or had played Call of Duty. That means they’re desensitized by gun violence and they don’t act like idiots over it.
