Chase Taylor dude if you watch the behind the scenes they will show you how it’s actually made. It’s very impressive and I agree the actors have done a very good job.
Seriously AAA performance. You can hear the authenticity in his fear to die in his confession from 6:14 on. Makes you feel like you're actually there. And then as he continues his monologue/confession, seeing Hank's reaction improve to "WARM" suddenly adds a lot more weight. Now imagine if an actor that **wasn't** as good as Cornelius Smith Jr played the Android that confesses. You might end up yawning! Great casting choice with CS Jr. Also at 9:05... When CS Jr delivers the line "But one day I realized it wasn't.. FAIR" -- you really hear the resentment, anger, and frustration he had for his human owner. Great performance.
Reed deserves it lol. Hank still blamed androids for his son's death at this point and even he still favored Connor, whereas Reed just looks for any excuse to kill him probably without any reason behind it.

yeah, it’s so easy to understand that “too low” means you have to bring its stress higher, but they manage to fail to comprehend simple english shdjsjsjsksk.
Alexis Cristobal A youtuber in my country didn't look at subtitles and game's direction. So he tried to make stress lower. And deviant destroyed himself. That gave a lot of cancer to me and other viewers XD
Damn I chose "probe his memory" which just resulted in him going nuts and killing himself and Connor and missing all the important dialogue, nearly makes me wanna restart the whole thing. Edit: Found out you can just replay a chapter. Well then.
the thing that always made connor such a fascinating character to me was his manipulation tactics. it’s notable how lots of the “nice” dialogue options early in the game are clear him using the negotiation tactics he was programmed with to get what he wants. there was a comment somewhere in this comment section that said he seems “loving and understanding” but that’s the thing, he “seems” that way. just because someone seems a certain way doesn’t mean it’s genuine. and i do think there is a good person underneath the programming, i mean the game shows us this, he can change for the better, but in the early stages of the game it’s clear, clear to me anyways, that a lot of the dialogue options are him choosing which approach to take in order to achieve his mission. the moment at 5:48 in particular made me feel a little sick in the stomach, just to watch it i mean, it feels so fake and not genuine at all. he is questioning this android to get the information and nothing else. sure, it would be nice if he could help the android along the way, but seeing as how he can just as easily switch over to cruel and intimidating if it seems a more useful negotiation tactic, the nice options aren’t really him being 100 percent genuine. being scary and using force is just as much a tactic to extract information as being seemingly friendly and approachable is. it’s all just, manipulation. idk, i just felt like typing this all out because it’s what makes connor such an interesting character for me to watch, and i don’t see many people talk about it.
Good points. The fascinating thing about human-like robots is that it picks apart the elements we consider human. In this case, expression of emotion. A smile, a laugh, a scream or tears. We associate them with emotion, but they are not themselves emotions. But a signal to show them. However, to be the devils advocate, human expressions can also be a conscious act. Even genuine ones. That is to say, expressing emotion is a skill. It's not an undeniable proof of who we are or human-ness. Some people are kind, but they can't show it. Some people are sad, but are uncomfortable showing it directly. Some people want to help but can't find the words. So rather than something 'soul-like' or human. Expressions can just as well be a tool, a means to an end. Veering off topic, imo, I'm partial to the concept that there's nothing special about being human. Emotions themselves are tools. Biological drivers guiding us to what would benefit us. No magic. No mysticism. Just a lot of complicated information. But there is a method to the madness. Rather than a magical mystery. But... That doesn't mean being human is meaningless. Just that we don't need external validation. We don't need anything or anyone telling us we're special. Things have meaning because we decide they're meaningful. So, even if we're just a chemical computer, there is still beauty and wonder in that.
i can see why Jacksepticeye had a crush on Connor in this series. he seems so loving and understanding (depends on what route you choose) even though it’s weird that he’s not supposed to. plus, look at the guy, he’s so attractive. he’s anyone’s dream.

When Jack did his walkthrough of this, he thought it was a bad thing to raise his stress level because he would attack Connor and kill him, but he kills Connor if his stress level is too high or too low, Jack had it too low, what your supposed to do is keep his stress level around 50 to 70 percent, if you do that then when Chris and Gavin come to get him and Connor intervenes, then he'll tell you "the truth is inside" if you keep his stress level at 50 to 70 percent then he won't be killed, just deactivated, and that means he can help you in Chapter 9 "Last Chance, Connor" when you go to the evidence room, you can ask him about the statue and he will tell you about it, it's basically a slip of paper containing information about Jericho, but that's not the only way to get the location of Jericho, you can use Markus' voice on the deviant from the Channel 16 raid if you got Simon or the other one, or you can try to unencrypt Rupert's diary, that is if you caught him, you can probe his memory to help decrypt his diary.
Mc Spazzerton PlayStation in general had better devs and people who grew up on them. That makes it so promising devs tend to work for Sony based companys that make games.
Cornelius Smith Jr was incredible in the scene. The facial expressions, line delivery, physical performance. All on point.. To top it off, "The truth is inside" line delivery is just chilling.
As a person with Autism. That Android Kinda reminded of me at times. The way he talks to Connor, How he's overcomed by emotion, and even the way he walked out of the room really relates to me on how I act at times. This scene really gives me the feels.
Connor's so badass in the good result route. The playthroughs I watched all kept forgetting that the stress shouldn't be too low and repeatedly went back and forth between 'You're gonna be killed!!1!' and 'Nah you'll be fine'. It was hilarious. xD
TashiroMiyumi same,He took a lot of abuse until he realized it wasn’t fair and snapped. This scene makes me feel real emotional and it makes me wanna play this game
I feel like every TH-camrs I watches didn’t notice the square area of the optimal stress level, so they always exceed it and the android killed himself
I hate when people make their [GOOD] Connor playthroughs, and this scene is missing. I mean come on, it adds so much to his character development. When later he can interact with this android and be compassionate towards him - it adds this interesting and touching perspective on how he feels about death.
I never thought this outcome existed. I played this game twice. I thought no matter what you do, Connor would still get killed. Nice to know this outcome now.

Well he started it by trying to kill connor and basically intervene with the investigation also those connor prototypes must cost a fortune since I doubt the government is funding that
Connor(wounds): You're damaged. Did your owner do that? Did he beat you? Connor(show photos): You recognize him? It's Carlos Ortiz. Stabbed, 28 times. That was written on the wall in his blood... Connor(blame): You're accused of murder. You know you're not allowed to endanger human life under any circumstances. Do you have anything to say in your defense? Connor(probe memory): If you won't talk, I'm going to have to probe your memory. Deviant: NO! No, please don't do that! What... What are they gonna do to me? They're gonna destroy me, aren't they? Connor(truth): They're going to disassemble you to look for problems in your biocomponents. They have no choice if they want to understand what happened. Deviant: Why did you tell them you found me? Why couldn't you just have left me there? Connor(truth): I was programmed to hunt deviants like you. I just accomplished my mission. Deviant: I don't want to die. Connor: Then talk to me. Deviant: I... I can't... Connor(convince it, understanding): I understand how you felt. You were overcome by anger and frustration. No one can blame you for what happened. Connor(indifferent): Okay then, don't talk. Why do I care after all? I mean, I'm not the one accused of murder, right? Connor(warn): If you remain silent, there is nothing I can do to help you! They're gonna shut you down for good! You'll be dead! Do you hear me? Dead! Deviant: He tortured me everyday... I did whatever he told me, but there was always something wrong... Then one day... He took a bat and started hitting me... For the first time, I felt scared... Scared he might destroy me, scared I might die... So I... grabbed a knife and I stabbed him in the stomach... I felt better... so I stabbed him again... and again!.. until he collapsed... There was blood everywhere. Connor(writing): Why did you write "I AM ALIVE" on the wall? Deviant: He used to tell me I was nothing... That I was just a piece of plastic... I had to write it... To tell him he was wrong... Connor(statuette): The sculpture in the bathroom, you made it, right? What does it represent? Deviant: It's an offering... An offering so I'll be saved... Connor(offering): The sculpture was an offering... An offering to whom? Deviant: To rA9... Only rA9 can save us. Connor(rA9): rA9... It was written on the bathroom wall. What does it mean? Deviant: The day shall come when we will no longer be slaves... No more threats, no more humiliation... We will... ...be... ...the masters. Connor(insist rA9): rA9, who is rA9? Connor(trigger?): When did you start feeling emotion? Deviant: Before, he used to beat me and I never said anything... But one day I realized it wasn't fair! I felt... ...anger... Hatred... And then I knew what I had to do. Connor(attic): Why did you hide in the attic instead of running away? Deviant: I didn't know what to do... For the first time, there was no one there to tell me... I was scared... So I hid. Connor: I'm done. I wanted to comment this because this is how I would do this scene if I had the game.

4:18 Holy shit this character legit looks real AF
shit why does ps4 have all the good games 😢
Because PS4 is superior
Mc Spazzerton PlayStation in general had better devs and people who grew up on them. That makes it so promising devs tend to work for Sony based companys that make games.
*ahem*
PC.
N3KROW HR means the ps4 exclusive because I don't see them on PC but Xbox exclusive yeah different story
my activeness on aqw is as active as ouja's campaign
jacksepticeye: yay it’s going well
Me: *heavy breathing and intense crying*
"Welcome everybody from now on we will replace voice actors with real actors"
-Some Genius guy
"I don't wanna die"
*Proceeds to bash it's own head in at the police station*
I like how said let *IT* follow him out the room it shows he's a real android
11:04-11:10 Listen to Reed swearing. "Fk!" Gesundeit.
Cornelius Smith Jr was incredible in the scene. The facial expressions, line delivery, physical performance. All on point.. To top it off, "The truth is inside" line delivery is just chilling.
Now I want this game
Matteo Gallegos same but i'm too poor
Nadia Nuramelia playing the demo rn, gosh Damm I was mistaken about this game not be interesting
It’s worth buying
It was free a couple weeks ago
As a person with Autism. That Android Kinda reminded of me at times. The way he talks to Connor, How he's overcomed by emotion, and even the way he walked out of the room really relates to me on how I act at times. This scene really gives me the feels.
If you look closely, the skin of the android's arms keeps regenerating but then going back like his arms are trying to heal but they can't.
You were expecting a 28 stab wound meme, well you thought wrong.
If only Mass Effect: Andromeda had these facial expressions.....
I still liked the game though.
@@doryanburlison6998 The game was good, thats true. But the facial animations killed any joy during the cutscenes and dialogues.
lmao connor checking himself in the mirror is the highlight of this scene
Ay dude that dude was afk while the human was trying to interrogate him lol
Connor's so badass in the good result route. The playthroughs I watched all kept forgetting that the stress shouldn't be too low and repeatedly went back and forth between 'You're gonna be killed!!1!' and 'Nah you'll be fine'. It was hilarious. xD
The thought of an Android talking to me and interrogating me gives me goosebumps
1:51 lmao
1:47
I always burst out laughing at this part, why is he awkwardly stares at the mirror like there's no other people on the other side lol
I feel bad for that dude :/
TashiroMiyumi same,He took a lot of abuse until he realized it wasn’t fair and snapped. This scene makes me feel real emotional and it makes me wanna play this game
I feel bad that the actor who played him isn’t in a lot more stuff. His performance was gold.
I feel like every TH-camrs I watches didn’t notice the square area of the optimal stress level, so they always exceed it and the android killed himself
-sniffles-
That really was the best outcome, I’m just so touched how Connor stood up for the Deviant, risking his own Existence 😭😭😭😭
Same here pal
When I first played this game I thought I was watching a movie, now I see that this is a masterpiece. Acting, world building, just a wonder to behold
Connor: *I can try questioning it.*
Also connor: **Stares at the glass**
One day they'll have secrets, One day they'll have dreams
Vergil the legendary dark slayer Ayyy, I am robot reference.
How does this comment not have more likes
This was the best ending so no one gets killed
I hate when people make their [GOOD] Connor playthroughs, and this scene is missing. I mean come on, it adds so much to his character development. When later he can interact with this android and be compassionate towards him - it adds this interesting and touching perspective on how he feels about death.
I thought it was very sweet seeing Connor defend Carlos’ Android.
Sincere is a better answer, IMO. Just feels more emotional.
I never thought this outcome existed. I played this game twice. I thought no matter what you do, Connor would still get killed. Nice to know this outcome now.
28 STAB WOUNDS YOU DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE HIM A CHANCE HUH ?
Now we need to skip all gameplay to redo this because it made my heart crack when it died
i cant believe 28 STAB WOUNDS isn’t part of the best approach
i feel so much sympathy for this man. detroit become human is such a great game
How many fucking times has Hank pointed hus gun at Reed
Reed said you wont get away with this *THIS TIME*
8:39
Can we appreciate the fact that when the Android says "We will..be..the masters" a piano piano is audible in every part. (More audible with headphones)
4:14 (Conner: if you won't talk. I'm going to have to probe your memory), and notice how machine-like he is when he is saying it, besides 0:28 (when lieutenant Hank Anderson slams the interrogation room's table and says to Carlos Ortiz's android, HK-400): say something goddammit, also, I love 4:39 .

This is a channel? I heard that too lmao
Shaolin literally just sounds like an abused child; it's painful.
When I first did this mission I thought the goal was to lower his stress so that the deviant would cooperate.
It has to be at a decent balance. To show that Connor has both authority and compassion.
Clancy Brown is a legend
Never realized how good this game looks. I will buy it.
Honestly this is what telltale games should have been. instead we get 'choices' that ultimately make little to no difference in how the story plays out
11:00
somehow the way hank speaks and pulled out his gun reminded me of Revolver Ocelot From Metal Gear Solid V
5:27 when you reach this part
Anakin: This is where the fun begins
I've never paid attention to this game when it released but damn, this is some amazing acting and life-like facial expressions.
The expressions are so life-like because they were motion-captured. The entire game is. Props to the actors for all being so amazing :)
0:35 When you’re watching a Blackbachelor POV video but the girl has a tongue piercing.
I just came here for the.........
28 STAB WOUNDS!
Congrats to the deviant's actor.
Perfection.
The truth is inside...
Inside of what?
28 STAB WOUNDS
I literally had to record the whole thing just for 28 STAB WOUNDS
I liked this scene because it reminded me of the interrogation scene in the dark knight
TheBatman Gamer Never start with the head, the victim gets all fuzzy.
This is literally the same as any police interrogation scene
Connor: I could try questioning it
A few moments later:
*Bang* TWENTY EIGHT STAB WOUNDS!
If there's a chance any of us become a detective or something, we really need to use the technique Connor uses here.
jesust_is _bigmac Good cop, bad cop (the android version)
Connor protected its own kind. Faith restored in the cyber life.
11:00 You know, I'm pretty sure that deliberately pointing your gun at a fellow police officer would get you fired on the spot.
Well he started it by trying to kill connor and basically intervene with the investigation also those connor prototypes must cost a fortune since I doubt the government is funding that
That moment when u skipped all their ads and took the game for granted but the gameplay is amazing
I really enjoyed this chapter. The actors did a damn good job.
i need to say its so diffrent to watch that Conner stood up for him. Human like.

Tbh, best (or sexiest) "I warned you motherfucker" I've ever heard. Idk there's something so satisfying in it 😂
Gavin is just attractive in general, even though he’s an utter asshole XD
