Kurt, your headlights illuminate the area directly in front of your vehicle, and when that area is illuminated, it makes it harder for your eyes to adjust to the lack of light outside that area. It seems the developers were trying to simulate this effect. Personally, I don't know if i like it much, but I can understand why they've done it that way.
I don't understand what you think is wrong with the headlights. They darken everything that is not lit up because the game is simulating your eyes adjusting to the light, making things not illuminated even harder to see.

Concerning the reverse gear with the G27 shifter - you ARE pressing down the shifter when trying to go into reverse, I trust? If not, perhaps that is the problem, because I cannot relate to the difficulties you describe, the shifter works just fine for me, reverse gear and all.
I think the developers should really make a tank combat simulator on this game engine! It would be a lot more realistic than all the tank games we have now. Everybody will finally understand why did Russians attach a lumber log to a tank...
That problem with no connection to steam means I can't take my alienware and play it without internet somewhere. If you pirate it though it doesn't do that.

GTA V for PC does the same thing. If you don't have an Internet connection, you can't connect to Social Club, ergo you cannot play GTA. Doesn't make sense.
Keaton Johnson yeah I don't know why Rockstar did that. that's not required on either console version (have it on PS3 and PS4, played without Internet several times, no issues)

Backing over that bridge was a poor decision from a gameplay viewpoint, but an amazing decision from a content viewpoint. Loved watching that part.

Same here. Had it on PS3/4 and no problems. But yet Internet is forced for PC.
