One of my favorite things that the movies more or less unintentionally did was show Deku's progression in terms of strength. He fought a villain with All Might, with Bakugo, and then pretty much all on his own.

This movie is my favorite of all the MHA movies purely because of its movie character, Rody. He is, imo at least, the best MHA movie character because he is so unique and has a backstory you can sympathize with and motivations you can totally understand. Plus, the friendship he builds with Midoriya feels the most genuine and fleshed out out of all the MHA movie protagonists we've seen. You can tell that during their journey, they both grew a genuine friendship and care for one another, exemplified with their farewell at the airport
100% agree. We loved Roady a lot. It would be nice to see some more of him.

I’m not going to go point by point what’s great about this movie. But I’ll at least give my opinion on this movie with the others and a few moments I loved.
1st Movie- Most important canonically. Between All-Might flashbacks, and a few other aspects I can’t say. Manga readers know.
2nd movie- probably my favorite fights with best student team ups.
3rd movie- best story.
I can’t rightfully give the movies an order proper when I enjoy them for completely different reasons. But I can say the 2nd movie is my favorite.
This movie between Deku’s runaway road-trip from the cops and trying to investigate at the same time is great. And the finale just let the kids solo the biggest aspects. No team ups needed, just their raw talents pushed to maximum. And they just really played these situations well over the global investigation and effort to stop the bombs.
And once again Deku proving his resolve and willpower are probably the biggest I’ve EVER seen in ANY anime by a LONG SHOT. Essentially running into the same wall over and over til it broke is just PURE resolve. And once his 100% started going. WOOF. Remember what ONE of those 100% punches does to mess him up. Imagine just launching god knows how many? Which…WAS cool, but I think there could have been a better way for him to overpower him through 100%. Not a one shot but maybe a bunch on rebounds off a reflector or something. I mean this kinda deflates why Deku CAN’T just do what he did in the end. Between the broken bones, his damaged ligaments that have degraded, and that he’s fighting 5x his limitations which ALREADY strain him. It’s GREAT to see yes, but if this weren’t a movie Deku likely would be spending the rest of the show without arms. And I think that a few people have agreed with me that this maxed out 100% demonstration is less impressive and there’s the fear of wearing out it’s novelty.
That’s the extent of my nitpicks. It’s still a great fight. And a great movie. I don’t WANT to say it’s my least favorite. And if I had to, only for nitpicks. But again because it’s assets are different from the other two, I can’t rightfully do that.
I’ll leave it there. Season 6 starts next week and we are ALL hyped for it. It’s probably my most analytical season. So…expect me to fill your screen pretty fast and frequently.

The main way you can tell the series creator wasn't involved with the third movie, is that unlike the previous two movies, the main trio were written way too overpowered compared to canon, lol.
Especially Bakugo getting stabbed all over, and Midoriya using 100% without issue.
Horikoshi was involved though lol, and the movie IS canon

I am personally not a fan of any of the MHA movies. I would say they are all about a 4 or 5 out of 10, but I have only watched them once each, so I may just have had a bad experience watching them the first time. This one was my favorite of them, and I actually disliked the first movie the most. I am glad that other people enjoy them though.
What are your reasons for not liking them? I'm curious.
@@KalElCanFly I don't remember specifics, as I watched them once about a year ago. I just remember really disliking the first movie, and the others not being very enjoyable, aside from the fact that I liked this one more than the rest. The memory of not enjoying them was enough to never try re-watching them. I think it had to do with the characters feeling more 2 dimensional in the movies, but I could be misremembering very easily.
