I find that I like Luminar AI on my Mac because it has the templates I am able to use for different processing looks, so it is doing a bit more than the ML option in Pixelmator photo does. (though I am really intrigued by Pixelmator and all the control as well as ease of use that it has).
I also like the other elements that Luminar AI has- such as the composition AI, the different effects that can be used, etc.
I wish this app or another would have just a bit more of that element that I am able to use in Luminar AI.

It's in the title, or put differently, equivalent work flows to Lumina AI using two apps on the iPad.

Pixelmator Photo is the alternative software (watch the complete video)

Thanks for that. Out of curiosity, do you ever find yourself using Pixelmator Photo and Luminar AI in tandem, on the same photo or bunch of photos. I am actually looking for a software that I can use on Mac and iPad and if possible Windows as well, as certain realities are forcing me to jump from machine to machine on a very regular basis. Any advice would be welcome.

Hi interesting question, I do most of my processing on the Mac using Luminar AI and will soon be moving onto Luminar Neo as it has finally matured into a true AI replacement. With Pixelmator Photo I found it was a good work round when I was traveling with the iPad, I have since discovered another app I now use a lot Raw Power it works on IOS and the Mac but is Apple only. But for your situation where you will need to cross over to Windows sometimes I would suggest ACDSee Photo Studio. There are both Mac and iPad versions and a windows version, its not as slick as Pixelmator or Luminar but its not bad. Hope this helps. Cliff

@@clensmedia6514 Great thanks will look that up. As an academic question (if I may), for a beginner or otherwise, as a ground rule, does it work or make sense to edit the same photo/s using different apps.

@@accentontheoff If I understand your question you are asking by using different apps will I get different results on the same raw image? At a basic level yes as all of the quality software use the same math to adjust colour, brightness, contrast etc. But on an artistic level because of the way the controls are laid out and the different filters and LUT's you can use mean that the final image can look considerably different. Every one is different and so for instance in my case I have been looking for the most efficient way to process my large qty of Raw files into good looking natural colour JPEGs and so have ultimately settled on Luminar on the Mac and Pixelmator Photo or Raw Power on the iPad. But someone else may be after getting the most unusual looking blend of colours and textures and spend a lot of time on that one image and may choose some other applications for this reason. This is a very large topic to cover and you have given me the idea to look at a possible future video. Hope this helps. Cliff

@@clensmedia6514 Lots of precise subjective calls. Got it thanks! So how do you, broadly speaking, decide when to use Luminar and when to use Pixelmator Photo. I already have and love Pixelmator Photo and am likely to get Luminar. Hence asking.

@@accentontheoff Very simple, most of the time I will use Luminar AI or Neo as I am in the office. But when I am on site with a client or a relative and they would like a quick turn around of the pictures I have taken then I use Pixelmator Photo on the iPad Pro. The reason I use Luminar in preference to Pixelmator in the office is because I feel Luminar is a more crafted application for large qty of Raw picture processing, plus you cant beat the big screen of the iMac versus the smaller but very good quality screen of the iPad Pro. I am enjoying this conversation, thanks you. Cliff
