I wish we got more scenes conveying how Shimo doesn't want to fight, and Godzilla realizing this and deciding to go for Skar King to make him stop controlling her. It would be a nice way of showing Godzilla's intelligence, as well as his capacity for mercy and understanding (he only killed Scylla because she'd defied him numerous times prior and this was the last straw, and Tiamat because she was directly in his way of acquiring the energy he needs to stop a major threat and she wasn't the reasoning type.) It definitely would have added a bit more personality to him, especially with him playing second fiddle to Kong who's generally seen as "smarter" and more "relatable" due to being a primate.
No, godzilla is reasonable. Tiamat just attacked him first instead of complying and just letting him have the lair and energy. Therefore he killed her. He already had a grudge against her for attacking him when he was on the brink of death but he spared her and made her submit. That wasn't gonna happen again if she decided to go rogue and attack him once again
