Loved to acolyte, sang in the youth choir, did the liturgy with Pastor Skinner every chance I got, played basketball - even got MVP one year with Pat Craven, John Montjoy and others. At Christmas, we used to sing Joy to the World as a recessional and the entire congregation proceeded outside with our candles lit as we sang. What a sight for those riding down Augusta Rd. At the completion of the last verse outside, the council would always present the Christmas gift to the pastor. One year we gave Pastor Frick a car - wasn't new but it was a nice car with low mileage that he drove for years. You cannot imagine how much this church and its pastors have meant to me and my life.
