Thanks for the video. Some kind of captions would be good at the various points just explaining what and why you’re cutting or removing those parts. I’m assuming all the functions, on/off and air (blow) directional controls still work perfectly?
Hello! Sorry that i haven’t explained all the details, it was a quick video. Everything works fine, but 8v vents are shorter than the original ones and you’ll have to make some extensions if you’re not happy with the current air quantity.
8v grilles are a little shorter than 8p and you can use an adaptor for 100% air flow. You can also use them as they are as you don’t lose that much air flow.
Hello, first of all, congratulations for the very detailed video 😊 I wanted to know the air vent you inserted, what Audi model is it? And what year is it? So I can find out how to buy it. Thanks so much
Was it just the outer rim of the dash and the rubber trim inside that needed removing? did you remove anything from the 8v vent other than the plastic rim?
Is the cutting of all that duct trim absolutely required (not so much the rubber gasket, but the hard dashboard/duct trim)? I see you also completely cut off that outer retainer ring thingy from the 8V vent before you inserted it. Thank you for the video!
cdefreit1 hello mate! First of all , i don’t think there is any perfect way to do this. You can start by cutting the ring and those retaining tooths from the 8v vent and then try fitting it. I’ve tried to minimize the dash cutting as i’ve seen some dash deformation as i was fitting the vents. I can’t see any cutting marks with stock vents or 8v vents, so i thing it’s ok. Thank you too!
@@rusnacencoooo Got it! I'll let you know how it goes without cutting the dashboard duct, but it's good to know you don't see any cut marks when the 8V vent goes in. Thanks again, bud!
the difference is considerable. All the air flies under the board and only a small part through the airflow. I recommend making sponge sleeves like I did in my s3 8p static.carthrottle.com/workspace/uploads/comments/fc3ed80c7ed3db11a65d645d860c3e71.jpg ibb.co/CsxFTSZ

hamzah amjad hello! Everything that i’ve cut and removed can be seen in the video. Haven’t removed anything else.
Why?

@@cdefreit1 did you fit them without dash cut?
Where to buy this vents?
PC-Builds you can try on eBay or local websites
un link ? :d
Are the 8p and 8v the same length or is there any shortening of the 8v needed?
8v’s are shorter than the 8p’s, but it s not losing that much air in my opinion. You can make some kind of pipe if you really wanna.
