Section 13(g) of Philippine Immigration Act, as amended by RA 4376 now states:
"(g) A natural born citizen of the Philippines, who has been naturalized in a foreign country, and is returning to the Philippines for permanent residence, including his spouse and minor unmarried children, shall be considered a non-quota, immigrant for purpose of entering the Philippine."
According to the Bureau of Immigration, the applicant should be:
• Previously a natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
• A naturalized citizen of a foreign country;
• Intends to return to the Philippines for permanent residence.

Just make sure you don’t lose your social security benefits from UK if you’re receiving it already. Better yet, ask the UK immigration office in UK to be sure about this matter.

I was born in the Phil / my husband is pilipino / my mother is pilipino / my father is Chinese . During the time I was born there’s a law that if your father is Chinese , I will be Chinese citizenship. The only way to not be a Chinese citizen when I reached 18 of aged I should choose my citizen ship n have to get a lawyer . How ever due to ignorance at that time and I don’t know that what to do cause or our poor condition . Luckily I got a chance to go America and got the u.s. citizen . Now that I am old , I want to stay for the rest of my life in the Phil.?I was denied of dual citizenship. Cause my father is Chinese . What should I do . Help

My aunt's issue was on her US passport she has just her married name - not including her maiden last name while in her phil. passport she has two last names, the maiden and married last name. Attorney I am natural born Filipino. I served and retired in the United States Navy. I acquired my U.S. Citizenship while serving. My application for dual citizenship was denied at Philippine Consulate Los Angeles Ca. due the fact that I served with the U.S. Armed Forces. The beauty of staying in the Philippines without getting dual citizenship but only as permanent resident is you are still under the consular protection of your country of citizenship and can help evacuate you if something serious happen in the Philippines (case in point Afganistan US citizen evacuation)....pag dual ka may excuse sila na hindi ka tulungan.

The former Filipino can sell the lot (make a Deed of Absolute Sale) or donate the lot (Deed of Donation) to the relative in PH.

May batas po ba tayo sa Pilipinas na kahit hindi kasal at may anak kami at mag kaiba ang citizenship may karapatan po ba kami ng anak ko sa bahay. 75 yrs old na po ako. Kung dual citizen po kayo, he can enter PH with you & he'll be given balikbayan privilege of 1 year stay. Then during that 1 year stay, he can apply for 13A visa (spouse visa) to be a permanent resident in PH. See immigration gov ph for details on 13A visa.

@Rose - aside from SRRV (it requires a deposit with the PH govt), you & your husband can apply for 13G visa (permanent residence). You'll be the main applicant, your husband will be your dependent.

If you stayed in the Philippines for less than 1 year, you’re exempt from travel tax but you have to secure your travel tax exemption certificate from TIEZA online. If you stayed for more than a year, you will have to pay the travel tax. I discussed it here:

Unfortunately, dual citizenship under RA 9225 is available only for former natural born Filipino citizens.

Yes. You just need to present you proof of Philippine citizenship such as your Birth Certificate or Certificate of Retention/Re-acquisition of Philippine Citizenship.
