good point about Shin Se Kyung's very naturalistic expressions - as opposed to standard english as taught in schools - it was a huge suprise to hear her english in this show - she had never demonstrated it before - she was very fluent - she a very very slight accent and makes grammatical errors at times - an american should be content to reach this level in korean
Even when watching english series or movies, i always like to turn on the english subtitles. It helps me improve my english whether its sound or spelling
Woah I just watched this video after I watched Shin Se Kyung's drama "Run On", she's as translator/interpreter in that drama and her English was so impressive. She's a genius.
She can speak and understand English, its really good and I think it's a big help specially that she is an actress, me my self appreciate her so much, though I'm not good in English as she is but I love the way that I can watch her videos without asking for English Subtitle

I miss this from sekyung. In her drama runon, she was a translator but there were less scenes about it and her lines I find a bit awkward like when she said excuse me. They wasted Her English skills in that aspect..what a pity she is so good and her choice of words are pratical
Her english is on point and the pronounciation is quiete polished. And we can hardly hear her speak english. She just speaks english when needed. And for that Shin Se Kyeong's english is A+.💕

Being a man, I wished I could swip out her tears on those screens. I would say that High Kick 2 and Sekyung was a part of my youth. Sincerely, I wish she would be always happy! My perspective as a British English speaker, SSK's English is some of the best I've heard on Korean TV, and probably the best I've heard for somebody who doesn't appear to have spent any time living in the US or UK. Her pronunciation is the biggest strength by far, she's very clearly spoken and there's no Korean-English accent that a lot of other speakers tend to lean into. Very good vocabulary too, she uses multiple similar adjectives. Only the odd minor grammatical mistake but nothing that would confuse an English native. She was great in the role for Run On; I hope she gets more Western exposure because she really showcased her talent for acting in that one.
obviously your bias for her is making you hear her wrong. She does have a korean accent in her english. It's the "ah, ah, ah" manner in every word she is speaking.
어렸을때부터 영어를 좋아했군요... 어쩐지... 우리나라에서 영어교육을 받고 자란 사람들은 점수의 대상=영어 이렇게 받아들이는 사람이 대부분이어서 재미를 느끼고 공부하는 사람이 많이 없었던거 같아요 지나고 보면 요즘은 내가 하고 싶은 영어를 찾아 다니면서 하다 보니 조금씩 재미를 느껴가는것 같아요 제 경우는요 더이상 점수와는 상관없어진 나이가 되어야만 가능한건가요? 하하

어릴 때 살다와서 발음은 안 변하고 잡혀있지만 안 써 버릇 하니까 말하는 방법 다 까먹은 나보다 100배는 낫다

신세경씨 대단해요. 언어는 그 지역의 시사 지식과 나머지는 분위기 파악 이라고 봅니다. 사람 사는 곳은 어디나 비슷하다는 자신감만 있어도 50%는 먹고 간다고 봅니다. 나머지는 센스나 약간의 유머죠....

요즘은 내가 하고 싶은 영어를 찾아 다니면서 하다 보니 조금씩 재미를 느껴가는것 같아요 제 경우는요
더이상 점수와는 상관없어진 나이가 되어야만 가능한건가요? 하하
