Con respeto, no aplica para todo el mundo "la madera más cara" de este video en Mexico, palo de rosa es una madera muy bonita, dura y es más común usarla para accesorios pequeños de cocina, tablas, etc y se consiguen muy fácil (hasta en la playa) En México, la Parota y Granadillo son mucho más caras y se consiguen en especiales lugares, tienen betas muy marcadas como en el vídeo y si son usadas para grandes mesas y pisos. Un gran saludo a todos los que opinan.

Boa noite Francisco, gostaria de esclarecer algo interessante. Eu concordo em parte com o seu posicionamento, mas conheço uma pessoa que trabalha com madeiras nobres, cujas árvores já haviam sido mortas pela própria natureza em função de raios, ventos, etc. E o trabalho desta pessoa que mencionei é muito interessante, pois além de dar uma destinação artística para as madeiras, ele tem um trabalho de incentivo ao plantio de árvores. No final das contas, o que eu quero dizer e que muitas vezes vemos cenas como estas semelhantes ao do vídeo e nos chocamos e temos a tendência de julgar como se fosse algo ilegal, imoral, contra o meio ambiente, etc. Mas nem todos que trabalham com madeiras nobres agem ilegalmente, muitos até colaboram com a preservação da espécie como no caso que mencionei. Assim, sempre que olharmos para um móvel construído a partir de uma madeira nobre a reação mais adequada que devemos ter é questionar a origem para depois fazermos o julgamento. A natureza é tão perfeita que nos ensina a reaproveitar o que ela própria descarta. Abraço fique com Deus

Nesse caso também concordo com você e sou a favor do melhoramento genético de madeiras nobres como o caso do mogno brasileiro que hoje é plantado e utilizado ,pois ele cresce muito mais rápido e o caso do pinheiro e o eucalipto que também é plantado para fins comerciais ,poupando os naturais. As florestas são nossas protetoras,pois sem elas ,desaparece tudo, inclusive água e animais.

This rosewood is nice, but the most beautiful wood I've worked was Osage Orange. Fresh cut, it's electric yellow, but after a few years, it turns a beautiful rosy-brown. Makes exceptional desks & bookcases, not to mention Indian "self-bows"!
black locust is a very similar yellow to hedgeapple/osage. and yes, farmers use both, in addition to cedar for fencing due to the natural rot resistance of these woods. all 3 are beautiful to work

Es duro como el corazón del Guayacán. Es un dicho popular y típico en RD. He visto el guayacán, desde mi niñez, en mi región sureña los hay, y se dan silvestre, pero a la verdad que nunca los he visto así de grandes y cortados, no sabia de esta belleza interior del guayacán, y cresí en medio de ellos. Aunque también los usan para hacer pilones y morteros para majar café y algunos granos duros, como arroz y otros, también de lujo y decoraciones en las casas., los talladores los usan mucho en sus obras de arte.
Que te parece? Por cierto que no plantaron nada, esa gente esta destruyendo la selva en su totalidad, en sus cabezas no cabe la idea de preservacion. Es una cuestion cultural. Es como pedirle a los brasileros que no arrojen basura en la via publica!
É quase certo que não. E, sem contar as que foram precocemente destruídas durante a derrubada das árvores adultas, que, de modo geral, são arrastadas com correntes, até o local de transporte, aumentando a devastação em volta. Infelizmente a natureza está perdendo muito com isso!
Essa madeira é muito utilizada pra fazer instrumentos musicais e realmente e a mais cara pra esse tipo de trabalho pós o som dela é divino, mas é proibido a retirada da natureza infelizmente estamos acabando com o que temos.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful. I used to have a pair of rosewood lamps. Love the grain. Watching this And seeing the designs inside the tree is absolutely breathtaking. I never knew that I could love a piece of wood as much as rosewood but it is gorgeous.

Сдаётся мне, это айронвуд, а он при обработке невообразимо мерзко воняет....
Сухая древесина оливкового дерева тоже даёт похожий аромат при обработке.

This rosewood is nice, but the most beautiful wood I've worked was Osage Orange. Fresh cut, it's electric yellow, but after a few years, it turns a beautiful rosy-brown. Makes exceptional desks & bookcases, not to mention Indian "self-bows"!

black locust is a very similar yellow to hedgeapple/osage. and yes, farmers use both, in addition to cedar for fencing due to the natural rot resistance of these woods. all 3 are beautiful to work

@David Rice around here Osage is a nickname! Lol, I'd never heard it called Osage till about 6yrs ago when I got (lightly) into woodworking. It's always been hedgeapple

Es duro como el corazón del Guayacán. Es un dicho popular y típico en RD. He visto el guayacán, desde mi niñez, en mi región sureña los hay, y se dan silvestre, pero a la verdad que nunca los he visto así de grandes y cortados, no sabia de esta belleza interior del guayacán, y cresí en medio de ellos. Aunque también los usan para hacer pilones y morteros para majar café y algunos granos duros, como arroz y otros, también de lujo y decoraciones en las casas., los talladores los usan mucho en sus obras de arte.

This is no where near the strongest. The strongest woods are from the ironwood species especially Australian buloke rosewood does not even come close.

Essa madeira é muito utilizada pra fazer instrumentos musicais e realmente e a mais cara pra esse tipo de trabalho pós o som dela é divino, mas é proibido a retirada da natureza infelizmente estamos acabando com o que temos.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful. I used to have a pair of rosewood lamps. Love the grain. Watching this And seeing the designs inside the tree is absolutely breathtaking. I never knew that I could love a piece of wood as much as rosewood but it is gorgeous.
