Excellent video and some particularly interesting lenses which you own. The 70-200 VR II really seems to "shrink" to 135mm when focusing close. 400mm f/2.8 save you lots of money for going to the gym 🤣
Woooaooo omg. I was able to follow you with your first collection of AF-D but honnestly this time you blow me up :)))). The king of your collection being the 400mm f2.8 but I don’t do enough wildlife to deserve it :). The famous voigtlander 58mm makes me dream… but I really hesitate between it and the famous ( but not always liked) 58mm f 1.4. Your advise on this choice is welcome.
Since Nikon has been my system of choice since I was 16.,and I'm old enough to have studied and chosen not to buy the 5cm 2.0 when it was newly sold, let me comment that it was a forgettable, normal focal length lens. On the scale of superb down to despicable, it is a solid Meh. However, it was updated a number of times and has been in the Nikkor inventory as long or longer than any other Nikkor. The last Ai-S version was so good, that for most uses it is marginally better than the later 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 lenses. Those later versions are the sleepers among the 50mm Nikkors, and they are cheap as dirt.
The shop was running a sale and I had tax free in Japan and I had a card that has a really good exchange rates with no fees and the yen is super weak so it all added up

@@SprocketHoles It added up really well. 350 for a working 70 200. Any day i look I see around 700€ in Ebay for used ones. Guess i should pay a visit to Japan
Everyone climbs up those stairs and sees that collection of F mount lenses at Fujiya Camera would be greatly impressed.
that 16mm fisheye is awesome! classic lens and nikon never bothered trying to make a newer G version because the D was so good
Wow! You are really stepping up your game! Great Nikon collection.
That 70-200 you picked up is a great bargain. Good find
It's a well used lens but working fine.
@@SprocketHoles I loved mine when I owned it. Upgraded to E version simply for the focus breathing but its a great lens

Original af-s have motor problems NOT that one.(same problem as 28-70 f2.8).
Focus breathing is only "problem".
6:03 que?!

Thank you very much for all your great work 📸

You going to get a Nikon Zf?
No, the Z8 is more than enough for now.
I paid 350€ for a 70 200 with a defective AF... WTF man.
